Long Lifecycle Servers: Overview

Long-term availability Selected PRIMERGY models are available over an extended lifecycle of 5

years x 12 month = 60 months (regular lifecycle 24 months)

Applicable models are PRIMERGY RX2540 M1, PRIMERGY RX2530 M1 in

specific configurations

Maintenance service and spare part availability (5 years) are shifted

Selected Fujitsu Server PRIMERGY models are available over

an extended lifecycle

Lifecycle stretches to 60 months / 5 years starting with general

availability (VS50*) of the product. (regular lifecycle: 12 to 24

months)

No upgrade / supplemental business after “End of Sales” of

LLC-Server (VS65-L*)

How to order a Long Lifecycle Server (LLC-Version)?

SystemArchitect

Long lifecycle servers are listed as own product models with specific base units in the

SystemArchitect

The base unit features just the components which are released for the long lifecycle

Order availability

The long lifecycle server can be ordered without limits until the „End of Sales“ date of the

system

LLC is not part of the Value4You (V4Y) program of preconfigured models for the channel

business. Systems must be ordered via „Build to Order“ (BTO)

Pricing

While the standard components keep the pricing of the regular server model, the LLC base

unit and the after-market components feature a slight price uplift

Configuration Limitations

Due to a very broad range of available components in the LLC-model mother systems, it is

rather impossible to offer their full capability in an LLC-model. Therefore, limitations are listed

within the SystemArchitect. For special releases of required components, please contact the

PRIMERGY Product Management team with a significant business need. If the targeted

component cannot be included through the standard process the Fujitsu Made4You

customizing service might be offered.

Operating System support

Fujitsu will make sure that at least one of the SUPPORTED

(„mainstream“ or „extended“) Operating System of the major vendors

such as Microsoft, VMware, RedHat, SuSE will be supported on the

LLC Hardware from Fujitsu perspective. This is not necessarily the

latest one and might be affected by the support lifecycle policy of the

OS vendor. Prolongation of standard lifecycle may be available from

OS vendor and must be negotiated.
