Streaming Video over IPv6

Project aim: Provide robust RTSP/RTP based streaming video over IPv6 Port Apple QuickTime/Darwin Streaming Server(DSS) code to

IPv6 Provide clients on various operating systems

The overall objective of this subproject is to provide a real application that can be used to demonstrate and evaluate IPv6 systems and their effects (as seen by end users).

DSS chosen due to Large development and support base Wide bandwidth capabilities (suitable for mobile phones) Large CODEC support including ISMA Streaming MPEG4

Project Overview Previous project 1.2 and 1.3 merged in response to

previous review to form new project 1.2 Advanced Video Communication.

The overall objective of Project 1.2 is to investigate the performance of audio/video services on IP only networks, both wired and wireless.

The current sub-projects developed out of identification of three areas that needed developments to enable us to carry out the investigation.
