CHAPTER 1 – A TURN OF EVENTS

Ah, social networks. The perfect place for people all around the world to gather.

“Have anything planned for tonight, Ella?”

“Nope! Wanna go to that café I told you about earlier? I heard some cute

band is going to perform there… :D <3”

Ella was addicted to them. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, it didn’t matter.

She had an account on each on them.

“Sweet. Your parents will let you go? :o”

“They said I could go as long as I fixed that bad grade I got in Geography. I

did that a week ago. >:)”

Facebook was probably her favorite one. She had over 2000 friends there.

“Alright, see you tonight.”

Just as teenager was about to reply, she heard an elderly voice call her name. Oh.

She was still in class. She completely forgot about that. The teacher was glaring

daggers at her, and everyone knew what that look meant. Time to say goodbye to

her Smartphone. Ella stood up quietly and approached the teacher’s desk, muttered

out an apology, then marched back to her place as if she returned from a

battlefield. Whispers and giggles were heard from all directions. Only the girl sitting

next to her kept quiet. The girl, Rheanne, was a new student, so she could not have

known that this had already become a traditional scene. Rheanne gazed at Ella with

worried expressions on her face. It seemed the girl was about to say something as

she turned away.

“Say it.” Ella murmured. Her voice revealed her bad mood.

“W-what?” Rheanne asked, trying to act oblivious.

“I know you have some kind of comment.”

“You really shouldn’t text in class…” was all the newcomer had to say.

Ella sighed. Every adult says that. Although Rheanne seemed a bit reserved, and

they barely knew each other, she acted as if she was her mother or even her closest

friend. It confused Ella. Did she have hidden intentions or was she just nosy to

begin with?

“What are you going to do now when they took you phone?”

Again with those questions. For some reason, Ella didn’t mind having no privacy

online, but in real life, it was a totally different situation.

“Don’t worry, my parents will get it back for me.”

Page 3: Sleeping beauty 2

“They won’t be angry with you?”

“They probably will. Oh well.”

Then it struck her. If they hear about this, they won’t let her go to the café tonight.

And she won’t be able to tell the person that she won’t come, since the Internet at

her home broke down.

“Oh no…”

“What’s wrong, Ella?” Rheanne asked the worry in her voice returning.

Ella explained the situation. Not long after that, the bell rang, marking the end of

school for day. The two left the school. Rheanne still relied on Ella leading her

around the large place. As they were about to leave the school grounds, Rheanne’s

phone rang. She gently pulled her device out of her pocket to reply. Ella’s eyes

widened. She had the same model! Sometimes, she wondered if the girl even had a

phone, since she never seemed to be typing on anything but her calculator. In that

moment, Ella got an idea.

Page 4: Sleeping beauty 2

CHAPTER 2 – INTERESTING PROFILES

“Can I borrow your phone for a day?” Ella asked before even thinking about it.

“Excuse me?”

“Yours is exactly the same as mine. I’m going out tonight, and I really need it!”

“I don’t get it…”

“Pretty please!”

“But…”

“Come on, I’ve been saving you since you enrolled! Now it’s your turn to save me!”

“A-alright…” the confused girl gave in and showed her the phone’s password.

Overjoyed with her success, Ella hugged her, took the phone out of her hand and

ran off home. Good thing she lived nearby.

“Bye, Ella…” Rheanne muttered out, not sure if she did the right or wrong thing.

When Ella came home, she was greeted by silence. Nothing surprising, since both of

her parents worked till evening. She ate the lunch her mother prepared beforehand,

cleaned the dishes and ran up to her room. She pulled out the phone as she sat

down on her bed. It was in excellent condition. And it had 3G of data. Sweet.

Naturally, Facebook was the first thing Ella decided to open. Rheanne’s name was

shown in the corner of the page. Looks like she forgot to log out. Ella wasn’t sure

what to do. On one hand, taking someone’s phone and peeking into their privacy

was wrong. But then again, she felt the need to know more about the person that

wanted to hang around her all the time. Feeling somewhat guilty about it, Ella

decided to poke around. It seemed most people in Rheanne’s friend list were

relatives. Then, something caught her teenager’s eye. A stunning face crammed into

a tiny icon on the very bottom. A cousin, apparently. He was online too. Ella gulped.

Is it possible to be attracted to a mere picture? She clicked on him. His name was

Brandon. Only a year older than her. Perfect in every way. She wanted to text him

so badly. But how was she going to pull it off without coming off as a creepy

stalker? Well, Rheanne was his cousin. It wouldn’t be creepy if she was the one

texting. Knowing she would probably regret this later, Ella decided to become

Rheanne just for one afternoon.

“Wassup, Brandon?”

Okay, that’s probably how Rheanne wouldn’t sound. Oh well.

“Hey, Rhea! :)”

What now, what now?!

Page 5: Sleeping beauty 2

“How’s life?”

“Everything’s alright. What about you? Is the new school treating you well?

Any new friends, new boys?”

“School’s nice, no boys, but I have a nice friend. She helps me and stuff…”

It’s too early to introduce yourself, idiot.

“Cool…”

Great, he probably feels awkward now and has no idea what to type in anymore.

A couple of minutes passed. Ella stared into the screen, wondering why she got

herself into this situation to begin with. She didn’t even feel like going to that

concert anymore. Then, another message came in.

“Anyway, do you need me, or…”

“I just wanted to say hi…”

“Seriously, is something bothering you? We’ve been in this situation before.”

They were in this situation before? Looks like she did pull of a good Rheanne after

all.

“Don’t worry, I’m fine. Thanks for being considerate though.”

“Family sticks together.”

Oh, yes. She was pretending to his cousin, she forgot for a moment.

“Good night.”

“Bye…”

Ella logged out, placed the phone on her desk and laid down on her bed. She stared

into the ceiling, aware that Rheanne was going to find out sooner or later. The

whole situation was pretty interesting though. There was the fact that the quiet girl

might have a shady past, and then there’s this amazing, sweetest guy ever.

“Will I ever get a chance to truly know both of you, after this?” she asked herself.

She picked up the phone once more and logged in as herself.

“Sorry, Ashley. I’m not coming tonight.”

“What, Why?!”

“Just forget it; I’m not in the mood.”

Page 6: Sleeping beauty 2

CHAPTER 3 – STARTING ALL OVER AGAN

A new day in school. Ella walked into the classroom to find Rheanne already sitting

in her usual spot. Ella sat next to her and placed her books on the desk, before

reaching to her pocket and pulling out the phone.

A tiny smile appeared on Rheanne's face as she took it back:” So, how was the

concert?”

“I didn't go”, Ella replied simply.

It faded as soon as it appeared:” What? Why? Did your parents figure out that...“

“I didn't tell them, and they didn't figure out,” Ella cut her off,” I just lost my will to

go.”

She stood up and dragged Rheanne out of the classroom, hoping to find a quiet

spot. They soon found themselves in the bathroom at the end of the hallway.

Rheanne's expression was a mixture of confusion, fear and worry. Ella knew it was

going to go downhill from there. She took a deep breath and then explained

everything. The poking around, Brandon, the chat. Rheanne's confusion turned to

disappointment, then anger.

“I always seem to run into the wrong people”, she muttered out, Ella being barely

able to hear it. The girl looked like she was about to snap, but ended simply turning

around and leaving the bathroom.

Ella simply stood there, not sure what to do. Feeling nervous about going back into

the classroom, she stayed there until the bell rung. It turned out to be a terrible day

all around. Rheanne moved to another desk, and then there was Ashley who was

still mad about the concert thing.

At least something good was going to happen though. Her father promised her that

they would get their internet fixed today. It was no lie. When she came home, the

network was strong and going.

The first thing she did was search up Brandon on Facebook. Despite not really

wanting to, she sent him a message about the thing from yesterday, explaining

everything in a similar fashion like she did to Rheanne, just excluding the detail of

her being strangely attracted to him. She got a reply fairly quickly. It was something

along the line of her being disrespecting to his cousin and an awful person all

around.

“I know I have no right to ask, but... Is something troubling her? The way we

communicated earlier, it seems like something used to or might still be

wrong.”

“Why do you even care?”

Page 7: Sleeping beauty 2

Ella wasn't sure about it. Perhaps she just wanted to stay in touch with him.

Maybe, she really started caring. She couldn’t tell at that moment.

“I don't know.”

“Everything is fine. Now, get out.”

“I... Do care. Please.”

“No.”

Ella gave up. This wasn't going anywhere. She didn't want to give up though. That

day, she decided to become the best friend and person possible and prove him she

wasn't that terrible.

CHAPTER 4 – PROVING YOUR WORTH

Ella headed towards the playground. It was time for gym class. No more fake

periods to avoid it. Her homework had been made completely. Even the optional

one. Ella could already picture the shocked faces of those in her class. And to be

honest, she really did enjoy the picture. It all played out like it did in her head. The

teachers seemed pleasantly surprised. One person asked her if she was sick. Her

father went to get her phone and came back not as angry as usual. Life was

glorious. Now, she only needs to get this thing right, and the day would be perfect.

“Rheanne!” Ella yelled out as she ran after her, catching her on the school gateway.

The girl didn't reply, although she finally didn't seem to mind her company.

“Let's go get some ice cream! I know a glorious parlour!”

“I'm not hungry.”

“Jezz, Rhea. You're supposed to eat it for personal enjoyment, not because your

body needs it!”

“Brandon told me you contacted him again.”

Sneaky girl! Wanting to change topics so quickly!

“You apologized”, she added, sounding somewhat monotone.

“Of course I did. Come on, just one scoop!” Ella insisted.

“Listen, I’m sorry about the behaviour from earlier, but I can't stand people hurting

my privacy.” Rheanne said with slightly more emotion.

“Let's be friends. For real this time”, Ella suggested, lifting her hand.

Page 8: Sleeping beauty 2

“Alright,” Rheanne muttered out, shaking it”, but I’m not lending you my phone

anymore.”

Later that day, Ella decided to contact Brandon again.

“Hey, look into my friends list.”

It was a simple message, but those were usually the most effective. Ella opened up

another window to reveal her friends list. Rheanne's face and name were shown

there, too. Now, Brandon would have to take it all back and apologize. It took a

while for him to reply. He took a similar simplistic approach to it.

“That doesn't prove anything, girl.”

It angered Ella. How could this not prove it? Then again, it would be too simple if it

did.

“How am I supposed to prove myself then?”

This time, his reply came much quicker.

“I never asked you to.”

He didn't ask, but perhaps he was expecting it, Ella thought.

“I am not that terrible, you know.”

“You say you're Rhea's friend. Tell me of her secrets, if you know her so

well.”

Ella was starting to get angry. Was this some sort of challenge? Or was he just

teasing her. He may be cute, but that's just rotten.

“Give me more time, we just made up.”

“You have no idea, do you?”

Groaning, Ella closed the window. She had better things to do anyways. Like

prepare for that math test tomorrow. She decided to become a better student, after

all.

A week passed. Ella established a tradition of going to the ice cream parlour with

Rheanne every day. They were going there, once again, when they ran into an

elderly woman struggling to carry her groceries. Somehow, the sad sight reminded

her of Brandon.

“I'm gonna help her out”, she declared, much to Rheanne's surprise.

The woman turned out to be quite nice, even offering some pocket money to her,

although she rejected it. Ella decided to tell Brandon about it. It was partly him

influencing her, after all.

“Guess what. I helped some old woman today.”

Page 9: Sleeping beauty 2

“And why are you telling this to me?”

“It reminded me of you.”

“...Really?”

He was actually starting to become curious. It made Ella feel glorious.

“Yep. You said I was a terrible person. And I still want to prove you

otherwise.”

She didn't get any more replies after that, but it didn't make her feel any less great.

Thus, she decided to keep doing this. Whenever someone needed any kind of help,

she would be ready to help. After that, she would tell everything to Brandon. He

often seemed annoyed about it, even warning her that he was going to block her,

but he never actually did. In fact, he was willing to converse with her for a while.

Meanwhile, her relationship with Rheanne was blossoming. And so did her grades.

Ella heard that crushes tend to mess with students and lower their performance in

school, but it seemed to be working the other way around with her. Ella became the

class president, and couldn’t be happier about it.

CHAPTER 5 – CONFESSIONS AND REVELATIONS

Ella and Rheanne were relaxing in the park. One was busy typing on her phone,

while the other was just enjoying the calmness of the place.

“I still can't believe Brandon actually finally accepted that friend request of yours,”

Rheanne muttered out.

“Weird, huh?” Ella giggled as she finally got her eyes of the little screen.

“You like him, don’t you?” the quiet girl asked.

Ella's expression became serious fairly quickly. She looked back down at the

screen and confirmed it with a simple” probably”.

“You know, you turned out to be the best friend I ever had, despite everything. I

want you to be happy. And I am aware that in order for him to truly trust, you

probably have to know more about me.”

“So... You know about that part?”

“I’ve known for a while, actually”, Rheanne confessed.” I am willing to tell you more

now”.

She glanced around to make sure they were alone, then reached for her bag and

pulled a couple of papers out.

Page 10: Sleeping beauty 2

“Hospital paperwork..? I don't get it!” Ella was starting to panic.

“Don't worry. The worst thing happened a long time ago”, not really wanting to talk

about it, she just handed the papers over.

“What... Abortion? You were pregnant!?” Ella practically yelled out.

“Be quiet!” Rheanne warned her.” I don't want anyone to hear about this!”

Then she explained everything. How it came to be, the trouble she got into thanks

to it, the abortion itself, and its consequences.

“Most people were supportive of me. But, you see, a lot of people are also strictly

against it. The R.E teacher in my old school blamed me for murder. I just wanted to

move on. That's why I enrolled in this school. No one could possibly know about it,

and my parents told the staff not to share it with anyone.”

Ella didn't know what to say. She didn't expect this at all!

“I have no regrets, and you know it all. Go on, tell Brandon”, Rheanne assured her,

a bittersweet smile forming on her lips.” You don't have to be sad, it's all behind

us”.

For the rest of their time in the park their roles were switched. The usually quiet

one was talking most of the time, while the other just nodded, throwing in a couple

of words here and there. Ella wasn't familiar with these topics, and it was simply

too awkward. Still, when the time for parting came, she was more than willing to

give a big, warm hug.

After doing all of her homework later that day, Ella decided to inform Brandon. She

wasn't as excited as she hoped to be for that moment.

“Hey, Brandon. I know it all.”

“What great accomplishment have you achieved today, Ella? ;)”

Great, he felt like joking. But this was a serious topic.

“No... I know it all, as in about Rheanne.”

“So... You figured out at last...”

“Did you do this on purpose to make me feel sour? If so, that's pretty evil.”

“Ella, listen... In the beginning, perhaps yes. But you grew a lot on me since

then. I figured out you were alright a long time ago...”

She has grown on him? Ella could feel her heart beating faster. It was a mix of

excitement, but also anger.

“Ella? Are you still there?”

“Surprisingly, yes.”

Page 11: Sleeping beauty 2

“Your birthday is coming up, right? Why don't you come for a visit? I'll do my

best to make everything alright!”

CHAPTER 6 – THE ACCIDENT

Ella couldn’t believe it. She actually agreed to visit him. He really did make her

whole week. A couple of months ago, she would have been over the moon, but these

were different times. Rheanne seemed pretty excited though. Brandon came up with

the idea to throw a birthday party, and she was obviously one of the invited people.

“My brother said he can drive us. I can't wait!” she said.

Since that conversation in the park, Rheanne became a lot more talkative. Ella was

happy about it, but couldn’t stop thinking about how the whole situation played

out. Her past, Brandon's usage of it... One could say he might be toying with both

of them. Ella didn't want to believe it though. She tried her best to convince herself

that he would turn out nice. Nice, like he was on chat once they got a little closer,

before the revelation. A lot had changed in her life recently, all thanks to him. She

hoped for a happy ending. There simply had to be one. In a few days, she was going

to turn 17. She thought she deserved a gift.

Those couple of days passed extremely quickly.

“Nice car...“ Ella gaped as she saw their vehicle.

“Thanks! The birthday girl gets to sit in the front seat, too!” Rheanne hummed.

As planned, her brother Grayson was the one driving. It took them a while to get

around town, since there was a lot of traffic activity.

“I'll drop you off here. It's not too far, is it?” he asked.

“It's alright. I know the way,” Rheanne assured him.” Come on, Ella”.

And so, they got out of the car. Ella looked around, gulping. She had never been

here before. She has lived in New York since her birth, but this part of it was foreign

to her. The two slowly made their way through the crowded street.

“Okay... Do you see that building? It's right over there!” Rheanne, who was now the

one in charge of guiding around, pointed out her finger as she asked the question.

Ella glanced at it with curiosity. So, he lived in an apartment, huh? They were

almost there. They just had to cross one more road. And then it happened. They

were right in the middle of it when a car came rushing towards them, seemingly

ignoring the traffic laws.

“Ella, look out!”

Page 12: Sleeping beauty 2

She turned around to see it coming at an insane speed. And then she felt pain. A lot

of pain. The teenager heard screams from all sides, accompanied by the sound of

Rheanne's footsteps and desperate calls as she rushed towards her. And then the

whole world went quiet. And black.

CHAPTER 7 – IT’S BAD

Rheanne immediately called 911. There was a mass of people surrounding Ella.

When ambulance came, they immediately took her to hospital. She needed few

surgeries, fast. Rheanne couldn't stop crying. She thought that it was her fault that

one, probably drunk, driver hit Ella.

Rheanne and Grayson were waiting in the waiting room while Ella was in surgery.

Rheanne didn't know what to do. At one moment she was crying her heart out and

at the other she was pacing around the waiting room just waiting for some news.

They had been waiting for six hours when the doctor finally showed up.

“Ella Robinson!” doctor shouted.

“I'm her brother”, Grayson said, “How is she?”

“I'm Doctor Anderson. She has really bad injuries and we don't know when she will

wake up. And for now nobody can see her for at least a few hours so I will just tell

you to go home, get some rest and come back tomorrow”.

“OK”, Rheanne and Grayson said in unison. They went home. Rheanne had some

weird feeling in her stomach like she forgot something, but she didn't know what.

She didn’t realize that she hadn't call Brandon and told him about the accident.

CHAPTER 8 – BAD INJURIES

Brandon was worried for Ella because she didn't show up. He was waiting for her

on the surprise party he threw for her birthday. He had waited for hours but then

he just went home. Brandon entered his apartment and automatically turned on

the TV. On TV there were some news and Brandon stopped and watched them. The

news were about an accident where car hit a 17 year old girl. When Brandon heard

the name of the girl, Ella Robinson, he started running. He had been running for a

long time around New York just to find the hospital. Brandon entered hospital and

immediately asked the nurse about Ella.

“Are you family?” nurse asked.

Page 13: Sleeping beauty 2

“I'm her boyfriend. Can I see her, please?” Brandon asked her with tears in his eyes,

“It's her birthday”.

“Of course, honey. It's room 305. I think the doctor is still with her, he'll tell you

everything”, she said with a genuine smile.

Brandon went to her room and when he entered it he saw his beautiful girl

peacefully sleeping. Next to her bed was a doctor.

“Good afternoon, I'm Doctor Anderson”, the man said with an unreadable look on

his face.

“I'm Brandon Hummington. Can you please tell me how's she doing?”

“Well, it was a pretty tough accident so she has really bad injuries. She has a few

broken ribs, a broken arm and a brain injury”, the doctor said.

Brandon gasped, tears falling from his eyes, “When will she wake up?”

CHAPTER 9 – COMA?

“I'm sorry to tell you that she is in a coma and I honestly don't know when she will

wake up. It can be a few hours, days, months, but it can also be years. And there is

always a chance that she won't wake up”.

Brandon was shocked, he couldn’t believe that this was happening. He had just

found that one person he wanted to spend his life with. He may have not known

her, but he knew that he had fallen in love with her over that text messages they

had been sending each other every day.

The doctor left the room, Brandon stood beside Ella's bed. He took her hand and

made a promise, promise he wouldn’t break.

“I will be with you, here, in this hospital every day until you wake up. I promise.”

CHAPTER 10 – DREAMS

Ella's POV

“... I promise”.

I can hear these words and I want to open my eyes just to see who said them. But

I can't, I just can't open my eyes. I can't feel a thing but the heaviness on my

eyelids.

Page 14: Sleeping beauty 2

“Look at that little cutie. Aww...” I can see people all around me. I can see my

parents, grandparents and bunch of pretty girls. And I don't know why, but I am

happy.

“Hey, Ella. Look at all these people, they are all here for your christening. And these

girls, they are all your godmothers. They all love you”, my mom said. And then they

all went quiet. Why?

“I heard that your daughter had christening today and you hadn't invited me. You

promised me that I would be your daughter’s godmother back when we were in

college. Now, I am mad. You will regret this! Your lovely daughter will have an

accident on her 17th birthday! Muahahahahaha!!!” some bad girl told to my mommy.

“Don't worry, baby girl, I'm here for you. I will save you from her”, mommy said.

But my mommy isn't with me. She and daddy are on a business trip. They are the

owners of the biggest and most famous hotel in the US, Prestige Hotel.

I'm freaking out, I can't open my eyes. I want that so much, but I can't.

“Hey, baby girl! Where are you going?” dad asked.

“Hi, daddy! Me and Grayson gonna play”, I answered happily.

“OK, sweety, but be careful. Grayson, watch out for your sister!” mom told to Grayson

with concern in her eyes.

“Mom, you know I will, she's my lil' sis. Don't worry!” Grayson convinced mom and

she smiled.

It's my 6th birthday and Grayson promised he will take me to the playground. He

never breaks his promises. He's a great big brother. Grayson took my hand and we

walked in the direction of the playground and an ice cream shop, I think. New York is

a big city, but I love it.

Grayson is 14, he's in the 9th grade. I'm in the 1st grade and I'm so happy, I'm not a

baby anymore.

I have great memories with my brother. He is 25 now and I am 17, but it is always

like he is 14 and I'm 6. He's always caring and when I have problems in school or

with boys he's there for me.

CHAPTER 11 – A YEAR LATER

It’d been a year since the accident. Ella’s parents, Maria and Robert Robertson,

came to the hospital as soon as Grayson called them to tell them about the

accident. They both were in hospital for a month, but then Robert needed to leave

Page 15: Sleeping beauty 2

for work. Maria stayed in hospital for 3 more months, but eventually she needed to

go because of work.

Grayson also worked a lot so he came to hospital whenever he could. Rheanne still

felt guilty. In that year she graduated and went to college. She went to NYU so she

still could visit Ella every day after school.

And then, there was Brandon. He had been with Ella every day. He just went home

to shower and change. He fell in love with Ella. He wanted to be there when she

woke up. He wanted to be the 1st person she would see when she woke up.

And then it was her 18th birthday. Everybody came to Ella’s hospital room, her

family, friends from school and of course, Brandon. Her room was full of flowers,

birthday cards, but also get well cards.

It was the first time in a year that they were happy. It was Ella’s birthday and she

might not be awake, but they would celebrate it for her.

Ella’s POV

It’s my 17th birthday, I can’ believe I will finally see him. My brother is driving us

and it is taking us a while, because of traffic.

“I’ll drop you off here. It’s not too far, is it?” he asked.

“It’s alright. I know the way,” Rheanne assured him. “Come on, Ella”

We got out of car. I looked around gulping. I had never been here before. Yes, I have

lived in New York since birth, but I had never been to this part of town. Rheanne and

I slowly made our way through the crowded street.

“Okay… Do you see that building? It’s right over there!” Rheanne, who was now in

charge of guiding around, pointed out her finger as she asked the question.

I was curious so I glanced at it. So, he lived in an apartment, nice. We needed to cross

one more road and we would be there, I would finally see him.

“Ella, look out!” Rheanne yelled to me. I turned around and saw a car coming at an

intense speed. I felt pain. I heard screams and Rheanne’s calls. And then it all went

quiet and black.

Page 16: Sleeping beauty 2

CHAPTER 13 – MISTERY GUY

Ella’s POV

“Mom. I have classes today. I can’t just go to your meeting. I know I’m the heiress of

famous Prestige Hotels, but I want to finish college first and then go to your meetings

and learn how to be a great CEO. I have to go, bye!”

“Hey, babe! How are you today? Ready for classes?” some guy asked me.

“Hi, hun. I’m very well and ready as always”, I answered.

What was happening? Where was I going? Was that NYU? What a dream, who was

that guy? I had no idea. Why did I answer him, I didn’t know the guy. Why would I

talk to him and even call him hun? Weird.

I could feel someone holding my hand, but I couldn’t move, I couldn’t open my eyes

to see who it was. I could do nothing. It was weird, you know. I didn’t feel any pain,

but I could feel someone touching me, I could hear everything and yet, I couldn’t

open my eyes or move. Not a simple move. And of course, I had those weird dreams

and I didn’t even know if they were dreams.

“Wake up, mommy!” there was a kid bouncing on my bed, no, there were two kids”.

Good morning, Liam and Darcy”. I said and then that same guy entered the room and

said: “Good morning, love!”

“Mornin’, honey!” I said.

But wait, it wasn’t my bed, I wasn’t even in my room, where was I? Weird dream.

Two kids who called me mommy, same mystery guy that called me love, those

dreams could really freak me out.

CHAPTER 13 – ANOTHER YEAR AND SURPRISE

Another year went by. Maria and Robert were working a lot and they rarely visited

Ella. Grayson was also working a lot, but he visited at least once a month. Rheanne

was going to college and she was studying really hard so she couldn’t visit every

day, but she was visiting once a week. Brandon was always in the hospital, 24/7.

Today was Ella’s 19th birthday, but her parents couldn’t make it to hospital. Nor did

her other family. Grayson and Rheanne would come later if they found some time,

so this year it was only Brandon. He spoke to her every day, he spoke about her

family and friends, about changes in the city, about everything.

Page 17: Sleeping beauty 2

“Hi, Ella. It’s me again, Brandon. It’s your birthday today. I want to tell you

something and I can’t wait for you to wake up, so I’ll just tell you right now. When I

first saw you in this bed two years ago, I thought what a beautiful girl you are. I

immediately fell head over heels for you and you should know this one thing. I love

you and I know you can’t hear me or respond to me, but I don’t care because I just

told you how I feel.” And then he did something he wouldn’t forget, he kissed her.

He didn’t know what to do next, so he just started pacing around her room.

“Who are you?” Brandon heard and turned so he could see the doors, but no one

was there. Then he turned to the bed and saw two beautiful green eyes watching

him.

“You’re awake?” Brandon said.

“Um, yeah, but can you answer my question? Who are you?” she asked again.

“I’m Brandon, I don’t know if you remember, but…” he started, but she stopped

him.

“You’re Brandon, OMG. I’m so happy that I met you and I’m sorry I missed the

birthday party. Can you tell me how long I have been sleeping?”

“You’ve been sleeping for two years.” He said and Ella gasped, two years.

She looked at Brandon’s face and she felt like she had seen him before:” Have we

met before? You look like someone I saw a few tim… Dreams, oh my God. You know

I had those really weird dreams when I was sleeping. First, I dreamt about my past,

then about the accident. And then, I dreamt that I was in college, I had a boyfriend,

but that boyfriend looked exactly like you.”

“It seems that you were dreaming about your future.” They both burst out laughing.

And then, everybody came, Robert and Maria, Grayson and Rheanne. When they

saw that Ella was awake, every single one of them wanted to hug her. They were

truly happy, again, after two long years.

CHAPTER 14 – HAPPILY EVER AFTER

It’s been 2 years after Ella woke up and 4 since the accident had happened.

Brandon and Ella started dating a week after she had woken up. And year ago, he

actually proposed to her and, of course, she accepted. Today is the big wedding day.

Ella will be a gorgeous bride in a beautiful white gown. She will look like a princess.

Ella got a new nickname, Sleeping Beauty.

3 years later Brandon and Ella got a beautiful gift, twins Liam and Darcy. And four

of them lived happily ever after, how cliché, right?
