THE INNOVATIONThe SL-AIR is an air-sprung SL trailer with a self-tracking trailing axle. With the SL-AIR’s independent suspension the trailer offers the same benefits as the SL-Trailer with its hydraulic suspension, namely its 12 tonne axle load per axle line, 79 cm bed height and rigid and stable chassis. The SL-AIR is also built entirely from standard parts, as a result of which it is not only economical in maintenance but is also easy to maintain since the parts are widely available.

The self-tracking axle of the SL-AIR has

a maximum steering angle of 30°, about 30% more than the lock of a conventional trailer. This results up to (depending on the used tractor unit) in a 21,5meter in the Par. 70 Permit in Germany, which is 3 meters more than a conventional axle.

Optional auxiliary steering is available to steer the trailer when reversing. As a result, the SL-AIR is a serious alternative for a hydraulically steered 4-axle semi-trailer, as the SL-AIR is both lighter and lower!
