2. Travel & Accommodation

a) Regional Finalists

Flight reservations have been made on behalf of all competitors who qualified through the Regional

Finals with Destination Golf. All competitors will fly out together on Sunday 19th November from

London Gatwick Airport and return together on Thursday 23rd November. It is recommended that you

arrive at London Gatwick at least two hours prior to your departure time to allow enough time for

check-in, security & boarding passes. Flights are operated by Royal Air Moroc and the times to and

from Morocco can be seen below.

Sunday 19th November

Flight AT803 departing London Gatwick at 11:00 arriving into Casablanca Mohammed V Airport at

14:20.

Thursday 23rd November

Flight AT802 departing Casablanca Mohammed V Airport at 11:10 arriving into London Gatwick at

14:25.

b) Point of Contact

PGA Officials, Glen McPhee & Ross Parker will be present at London Gatwick Airport on Sunday 19th

November to assist with everyone’s check in process, if anyone has any queries Glen can be contacted

c) Luggage

Royal Air Moroc as standard allow x1 hold luggage of 23kg and x1 hand luggage. Additional allowance

has been arranged for one set of golf clubs (23kg) per competitor. Please ensure you do not exceed

these limits as extra charges might be incurred at your own expense.

d) Airport Parking

The PGA will organise car parking at London Gatwick airport for one car per team from Sunday 19th

to Thursday 23rd November. Please provide details of this vehicle to Josh Budz to assist with your

booking (Booking form provided at the back of this document).

e) Passports

Please ensure that your passport is valid and not due to expire within 6 months of travel. Passport

details must be provided by using the form provided at the back of this document.

f) Travel Insurance

All competitors are advised to take out their own travel insurance for the trip. Although PGA Members

are covered for Public Liability as part of their Membership, this however does not include travel

insurance. Individuals requiring their own travel insurance should ensure cover is provided for medical

expenses incurred whilst participating in competitive sport.

g) Accommodation & F&B in Morocco

Accommodation has been arranged for all competitors at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in El Jadida on

a bed & breakfast single occupancy basis.

It should be noted that the hotel does not operate on an all-inclusive basis. However all

accommodation, transfers, function related food and beverages are provided at no cost to the

competitor.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in accommodation and will be provided in Olive’s restaurant or Market Place each

morning for competitors and guests.

Lunch

All competitors will be catered for on days where there is no official functions. Lunch will be provided

to all competitors’ mid-way through the Official Practice Day on Monday 20th November. A 3 course

menu will be provided in the clubhouse to all competitors following Rounds 1 & 2.

Any additional purchases during the week can be posted to the competitor’s room providing credit

card details are confirmed upon check-in with the hotel. Additional costs can be settled in cash or via

credit card before departure.

h) Check-In

All competitors and guests are to check-in to the hotel upon arrival, you will receive information about

the hotel and receive your room keys. It is the hotel policy to take payment of your guests at this

time. Please ensure you have your passport details to hand.

i) Currency

The local currency in Morocco is Moroccan Dirham. Moroccan Dirham is a closed currency unavailable

to pre-purchase in the UK. Guests are advised to use the cash points at the hotel to withdraw currency

rather than waiting at the airport.

3. Guest Package

Each competitor will have the opportunity to bring one guest to share within their room based on the

prices agreed by our hosts as outlined below. All guest flights would be at the finalists own expense.

a) Guest Flights

Please note these packages are Bed & Breakfast. All guests are invited to attend the two formal

c) Guest Transfers

All guest transfers are included in the above rates if travelling with the main party. Additional costs at

the guests own expense will apply if travelling separately to the main party.

d) Guest Food and Beverages

Breakfast is included in the room rate and guests will be able to purchase food and beverages across

the resort and pay on an individual basis or post to the guest’s room providing credit card details are

confirmed upon check-in with the hotel. These costs can be settled in cash or via credit card before

departure.

5. General Competitors must not wear or carry any branding that would conflict with the wishes of our sponsors.

Any competitor or associated supporter that, in the opinion of the PGA, brings the event into disrepute

by any action will not be permitted to take any further part in the Tournament or associated activities

and will have their accommodation withdrawn. Please contact Josh Budz if you have any such

concerns.

It is mandatory that all competitors attend all functions associated with the Tournament as specified

in the daily itinerary.

6. Draw for Order of Play & Starting

The Official Practice Round Draw will be published before your arrival to Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort.

(i) The draw for Round 1 will be made during the Welcome Cocktail Dinner on Monday 20th

November

(ii) The Draw for Round 2 will be made following Round 1 in score order, with the leaders going

out last.

In all cases competitors are required to arrive at the first tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start

time. The Official starter will provide pin position sheets, Local Rules and any additional information

at that time. A copy of each days play will be available from The PGA Tournament Office.

7. Dress Codes

(i) Travel

During travel to and from Mazagan, the dress code is smart/casual (No jeans or trainers)

(ii) Practice and Competition Days

Competitors are requested to wear their own club crested/logo clothing on the Practice and

Tournament Days. It is expected as a minimum that teams to wear clothing of the same colour.

Both Professionals and amateurs are allowed to wear shorts throughout the duration of the

tournament.

(iii) Welcome Dinner

Smart/casual, no jeans or trainers, jacket is optional.

(iv) Gala Dinner

Jacket, collar & tie for gentlemen and the equivalent attire for ladies

Average temperatures in the area of El Jadida can reach highs of 20˚C (68˚F) and lows of 14˚C

(57˚F). It is advised that waterproof clothing is packed in the event of adverse weather.

8. Practice Facilities Practice times have been made available between 10:30 & 11:40 at 10 minute intervals on Monday

20th November. The draw of which will be published prior to arrival at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort

on Sunday 19th November. The draw will be available on the tournament noticeboard and in competitor

welcome packs.

The driving range, and short game areas are all available for competitors to hit balls on a

complimentary basis from 07:00am to sunset every day.

9. Clubhouse

The clubhouse and Professional Shop will be open at least one hour before play on all days.

(i) Locker Rooms A locker will be provided for you at the clubhouse. Please see Josh Budz on site in order to receive

your key.

(ii) Tournament Office The PGA Official Tournament office is located in the clubhouse/bar area. A PGA Official will be there at

all times to answer any questions you may have, additionally all tournament information and notices

will be available to read.

10. Resort Facilities Other facilities at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort include, a variety of restaurants & bars, a spa,

Morocco’s largest Casino & a nightclub. All facilities can be viewed through the website:

11. Yardage Charts A complimentary yardage chart will be provided to all competitors and available to collect from the

PGA Tournament Office.

12. Trolleys Complimentary pull trolleys are available for all competitors from the Professional Shop.

13. PGA Pro-Captain Conditions of Play

(i) The Grand Final will be decided over 36 holes of four-ball stableford as defined in 1 (iii)

with 18 holes to be played on each day unless conditions require this to be altered as per PGA

Tournament Regulations.

(ii) The field will total 10 teams, comprising the winning pair from each of the 10 Regional

Finals.

(iii) In the event of a tie for first place in the Grand Final, a hole-by-hole stableford play-off will

be held, the winning team of which will be Champions. The play-off will commence from hole

1 and continue, playing the holes in order until a winner is determined. If applicable, handicap

strokes will apply.

For the purpose of the Professional Prize Fund all pairs involved in the play-off other than

the champions will be deemed to have tied for second place and prize money will be shared.

In the case of amateur prizes any ties for the top three places will be determined firstly by

performance in the play-off and if still tied a card play-off. Card play-off, if applicable, will

operate as follows: most stableford points on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes. If a tie still remains

the result will be determined by a match play hole-by-hole play-off from the stableford scores

recorded on the card starting at the first hole of the final round. If still tied, the same procedure

will apply to the round 1 card.

(iv) In the event of either the Captain or PGA Professional of a winning team at a Regional Final

leaving the Club before the Grand Final, or the team being unable to participate in the Grand

Final, the team finishing second in the relevant Regional Final will take the team’s place.

(v) All competitors participating in the Grand Final will be expected to make and pay for

their own travel arrangements to the UK departure point, with the exception of those teams

qualifying from the Irish & Scottish Regional Finals, who will be expected to make and pay for

their own travel arrangements to their respective first departure point. Thereafter all flights,

accommodation and food and beverage at the Welcome Dinner and Gala Dinner will be

provided. Further information will be provided in the Information for Competitors at the Grand

Final.
