The integrity of your facial tissue depends a great deal on the interior state of your body. It

also requires a unique care regimen.

Find a simple cleanser and moisturizer that work for your skin and use them consistently.

Use only the purest of products.

For cleansing, I recommend either organic all natural soap or cleansing milk. After cleansing the

skin, immediately apply a powerful moisturizer.

I personally prefer oils or creams. I use to have combination skin, but thanks to the detox

lifestyle, my skin is no longer dry or oily, but rather balanced and healthy.

The season may affect your regimen. For example, you may wish to reapply facial oil often during the dry

winter months and less often during the sticky summer months, but keep in mind that skin likes consistency. Find what works for you; don’t treat your skin like a

experimental canvas for all the latest products and fads.

Keep maturing skin juicy and moist is important to image conscious youth seekers because well hydrated skin will not hold wrinkles. I know that many people are concerned that oils will clog their skin, but in my experience that is only true for mineral oils and oils

with unnatural ingredients in them.

In conjunction with tissue cleansing, which decrease acne causing bacteria that moves through the blood and

tissues to the skin, clean oils have a predictably favorable effect. If you do not practice tissue cleansing

it may not have the same effect.

Oils will become your skin best friend! You may experience breakouts as you are cleansing, but keep in mind it is temporary. Avoid introducing bacteria

topically to your skin, but keep in mind that the majority of acne breakouts begin inside the body.

If you wear makeup often, be very careful with your application and removal. It’s essential to keep the skin well lubricated. Be sure to apply a lubricant before you apply makeup; this will allow the makeup to glide on

easily, without having to tug at the skin. I find that coconut oil is the best natural makeup remover.

If you use clogging, toxic products and exercise poor hygiene, then you can expect to have

breakouts and other skin irritations.

Whether you are a teenager or pushing fifty, a mainstream lifestyle will make you prone to acne.

Find a good aesthetician to remove bacterial blockages and clogging, especially if you live in an

acidic city environment.

Never go to bed with your makeup on! Think of cleansing and moisturizing your face each night as a sacred ritual. Use whatever ritual works best for your skin, but in most instances it should only take about

three minutes to go through the entire process.

While I don’t believe in using a lot of products, there are several brands that I do respect - Living

Libations, and select products by Decleor and Fresh.

This would be a good time to clean out your old cosmetics and upgrade your selection with more detox conscious brands to prevent introducing dangerous toxins into your bloodstream

topically. Also, if possible try to go a few days without wearing makeup.

This will let your skin rest and breath free. If you feel you can’t, or if you work in an environment that demands

makeup, find other ways to rest and regenerate your skin. For example you might want to take a bath and coat your face and body with argan or coconut oil after work, or go

for a long walk in the fresh air.

Look for opportunities to offset the acidity and stress of your work environment.

Every little bit of relief helps.
