What are the strengths and weaknesses of your production work?• A strength for my contents page is that my masthead and issue information are repeated in the

top right hand corner which automatically makes it more conventional and professional. Another strength is that there are captions on all 4 images and all of those images relate to an article inside the magazine. A weakness is that the colour of the page numbers on the images are unclear due to there being a colour clash within the image. Another weakness is that the picture of the guitar could have been taken from a more interesting angle instead of it being stood up against a wall.

What did you find easy and what did you find difficult?• I found importing my images was easily done and so was finding a font to fit in with the genre

stylistics. I also found it easy to come up with captions for the images.• I found it difficult to import the text onto my contents page with the correct spacing and also

getting all of the text to fit onto the page. Due to this I had to change the whole layout of my contents page to ensure that all of the text could be seen. I also found it difficult to make sure the shapes were in line with the text and ensuring they were straight not slanted.

What were the main tools you used in Quark and why?• The main tools I used in Quark were the text tool and the shape tool to create the boxes around

the text. These were mainly used because they had to be used frequently to edit my contents page and correct any errors.

How does your use of Quark compare to the preliminary contents page you produced?• Compared to my preliminary contents page, Quark was easier to use this time around and I felt

that I could explore more of the tools in Quark instead of using the same ones. I feel that my knowledge of Quark has grown I now know how to use it confidently.
