Center on Innovation and CompetitionThe SKEMA Research Center on Innovation and Competition work on a variety of topics, including industrial organization, innovation, economic growth and business cycles, consumers and firms’ behavior, international trade, and the banking system. Its 1981 founding charter established it as part of the French Fondation nationale des sciences politiques (Sciences Po), and gave it the mission is to “ensure that the fruits of scientific rigour and academic independence serve the public debate about the economy”.

Applications are invited for a permanent, tenurable position the Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Economics at the SKEMA Business School. Candidate in the field of Economics of Innovation, Industrial Organization, International Trade are encouraged to apply. The position is open from September 2014. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.  The appointment can be made at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates for junior position should have a PhD in Economics and be able to demonstrate promise of excellence in both teaching and research. Candidates for the associate position should have a very good research record and demonstrated teaching abilities.

The successful candidate will be in charge of the management of a Master of Sciences in Digital Economy that is planned to open in the SKEMA Sophia campus on September 2015.

The selected candidate will also become member of the SKEMA research Center on Innovation and Competition, and of the DRIC department of the OFCE, the Economics Research Center of Sciences Po (see page 2)  Main responsibilities as director of the Master in Digital Economy:

• Ensure the quality of curriculum content• Recruit and manage adjunct faculty for the program (with the head of the economics department)• Develop partnerships with target firms and lead the program’s scientific

committee• Put forward and implement program changes in line with SKEMA’s strategy• Supervise students• Teach courses in different years and programs
