Opening systemIt's controlled by a small winch; a special pulley system permits “gearing down” of the strength for the operation, making it effortless.

Covering frame The covering frame is completed by wooden ribs, painted black using exclusively water-based products. The clamping system of the ribs to runner and hub enable their easy replace.


Fabric

The offered fabric for covering is produced in a silver-coloured reflective synthetic fibre.

NEW YORK is provided with the SKÆMA® anti-tilt system which creates greater stability for the cover, as well as for proper

alignment with respect to the ground.

Pole rotationBy simply unscrewing the hand wheel found at the bottom of the pole, it is possible to rotate the entire umbrella up to 360° without compromising its stability.This allows the shade to be shifted to the desired position.

BaseDesigned to completely contain the ballast plates without them protruding, it also functions as a convenient flat resting surface. The two side handles allow easy relocation. In addition, all edges are rounded off to avoid dangerous contacts.

Thanks to its versatility and the vast array of available dimensions, JALISCO is a product that is easily adapted to various types of situations.The attention taken with every mechanical detail guarantees excellent reliability as well as simple maintenance.

StructureThe weight bearing structure consists

of a wooden pole and an arm in painted aluminium. All metal

components are made from zinc-painted steel.


Sliding pulleyThe system, which makes sliding of

the stainless steel cable easier, is composed of a pulley (also in stainless

steel) and two "bushings" made of self-lubricating nylon. These serve as

bearings, guaranteeing that the pulley will continue to slide easily over time.

Base

Designed to completely contain the ballast plates without them protruding, it also functions

as a convenient flat resting surface. The two side handles allow easy relocation. In addition, all edges

D ISCOVERY DESIGN

Discovery design is the smallest model of the line of side-post umbrella that is part of the SUN collection. The structure and components are made of aluminium and zinc-painted steel, guaranteeing a structure that is lightweight, robust, and lasts over time.

Concealed cordThe cord for opening the umbrella is located inside

the column.This detail, along with the care in realizing the system for fastening the frame, provide

the model with aesthetic value.

L-bracketsThe union between the arm and the pole is realized with

an innovative system composed of two symmetrical plates (L-brackets) which are easy to screw in and have a pleasing

appearance.


Base Created with a steel crosspiece, it is easy to assemble, requiring insertion of four ballast plates. The assembling bolts and screws are made of stainless steel.

DetailsThe use of stainless steel bolts and screws testifies to the attention and care paid to each part of the product.

VariationsDISCOVERY design is offered either painted

white, or with a wood effect paint.

D ISCOVERY DESIGN

CoverDISCOVERY design is available with either a square or circular

cover. The fabric used for the cover is polyester, in a vast array of colours, to which the finishing border is then matched.


IRISThe versatility of the Iris model can be seen in the total of 9

different cover dimensions, which include hexagonal, square, and rectangular. Each can satisfy a different need.

white or ecru colour.


MARINERLight, manoeuvrable, and utilizable in

many different situations: these are the characteristics that make this umbrella a permanent fixture in our product line.

Structure

The structures of the Mariner and Apollo models are composed of a pole and eight or

six ribs, respectively, in painted aluminium. The cover is made from a polyester fabric and the

flounce is finished with a small border.The Mariner model is available either square or octagonal, while Apollo is available either

rectangular or hexagonal.

APOLLOCreated for the family, while still maintaining

a high professional standard, Apollo is the ideal product for the garden.


SERENISSIMAAn elite product featuring high quality and refined technology, with an

important past, just like the Maritime Republic of Venice.SERENISSIMA reproduces down to the smallest details the features of the

coverings installed on the vessels of Venice from the 18th to the 19th centuries.Italian quality and design.


Like a sunfl owerBeing able to turn the canopy depending on the position of the sun was very important to fi shermen who were used to spending entire days out in the sun. Today, this system is back, thanks to the same systems used then: the overhand knot set against the chestnut-oak, the loops to be pulled or loosened to adjust inclination and provide protection from the sun.

Description Resting on two bases where the loadbearingmasts were placed, the canopy extended thanks to the cross of two mooring lines and the crosspiece of the bragozzo, thus forming the main support of the structure. Lifts, angular tie lines, toggles, blocks and returns, indeed the all tools used in Venetian seafaring, made it possible to fasten the canopy to the two masts.Once the desired height is reached, another rope makes it possible to secure it, while an overhand knot makes it possible to adjust the inclination of the canopy at will by loosening or pulling the ends of the rope.Nothing is left to chance: every single element of the SERENISSIMA canopy, its shape and the way of producing it tell of a piece of history of the sea of the Republic of Venice and its men.


Solid and elegant basesThe bases are realized in zinc-painted steel and support granite ballasts of standard sizes which are easily available on the market. The design elegant and with the shaft forms a harmonious blend.

Free from insect bitesTo complete the harmonious design which recalls the elegance of the homes of nobility, the Rialto canopy includes and insect screen realized in lightweight, functional materials. Constructed with a simple pulley system, it is divided into four sections which intersect which each other at the height of the shafts and along the open sides of the canopy, thus ensuring complete protection from insects. It only takes one small cord to raise and lower the insect screen.

Non-tilt system windproof


To implement the Steelwood serie of Multiplo umbrella, Skæma has used top-quality materials guaranteed to last:

WoodIroko and Ramino for the pole, arms, and ribs, treated with ecological water-based varnishes, which provide beautiful materials while respecting the environment.

Stainless steelAll metal components that connect and support the frame are resistant and weatherproof, guaranteeing stability and safety for the umbrella.

STEELWOOD

The Skæma multiple plate, which acts as a connector between the umbrella arm and pole, is a revolutionary idea that makes Multiplo modular.It is in metal and comprises two superimposed plaques that squeeze the wood arms together like a “sandwich”. This plate can support 2, 3 or 4 arms at the same time.With this special detail, it is possible to change the umbrella type and size over time from 2 to 3 or 4 arms without having to replace or reassemble the pole and its base.

One base, two tilting positionsThe Skæma balancing base (like the multiple plate) has been designed to use with both the Multiplo models with 2 arms, which require a tilted pole, and with Multiplo models with 3 or 4 arms, which, instead, require a pole that is perpendicular to the ground.This dual-purpose has been obtained thanks to the Skæma patented system of angled planes, which vary pole tilting with a simple rotation of the upper part of the base by 180°.

These images testify to the wonderful flexibility and effectiveness of the MULTIPLO modular system.

In fact, in the case shown here, an irregularly-shaped surface of about 150 square meters was covered using eleven covers sustained by only four poles. In this way,

obstructions on the ground were reduced to a minimum.


The Skæma non-tilt system allows the covers to be correctly positioned and aligned. It has been designed with special tolerances to:A) Provide correct but not excessive resistance to wind action (breakage prevention).B) Avoid the annoying and typical “sail” effect that affects covers when windy.

Duration and easy replacement

For the Steelwood range in the Multiplo line, the rib coupling

elements are protected with steel connectors. Itallow a longer endurance of the wood, an accurate and

reliable device, and an easy replacement of ribs.

Easy opening system In order to eliminate any possible problems during opening, we have designed the form of the ends of the ribs in order to prevent them from “lining up” annoyingly.


Minimum effort when opening

With the Multiplo system, opening and closing of each cover is controlled by a small winch; a special pulley

system permits “gearing down” of the strength required for the operation, making it effortless. This device fits into a

protective small steel box.

METALWOODThe Metalwood line of Multiplo umbrellas is created using quality materials that have been proven reliable.

WoodIroko and Ramino for the pole, arms, and ribs, treated with water-based environmentally friendly paints

that maintain the beauty of the material while respecting the environment.

Painted galvanized steelResistant and protected from external factors. This is the material used for the metallic parts that unite and

support the structure, guaranteeing the stability and safety of the umbrella.

Stainless steelThis is the material used for the bolts and screws used in assembly.


Metallic partsIn the picture here, it is possible to see the difference in the materials used for the metallic parts in the two lines: In fact, the steel used in the Metalwood series is galvanized and painted an anthracite colour.

Covering frameThe wooden covering frame is completed by painted ribs using exclusevely water-based products.The clamping sistem of the ribs to runner and hub enable their easy replace.
