Dont Abuse Your Privilege Its a good idea occasionally to jog your memory on the

common rules of courtesy and the necessity for abiding by the rules and regulations military and civilian

Once in a while a man in uniform gets the wrong slant on things and figures hes a man set apart and entitled to special privileges because he is serving his country in time of war N-0w this is true after a fashion But even a brief look at the record will show you what happens to those who abuse these privileges

In Fort Pierce USNATB personnel have earned the gratshyitude of the townspeople law enforcement agencies and church officials This isnt s-0 much malarky put out to make you feel good so that you can swell up It is the sincere opinshyion of these people and they appreciate your conduct in their city as much as you appreciate the treatment you have reshyceived

Precious Letter You may write a thousand letters

to the girl that you adore And declare in every letter that

you love her more and more You may praise her grace and

beauty in a thousand gl0wing lines

And compare her eyes of azure to the brightest star that shines

If you had the pen of Byron you could use it every day

In composing written worships to your sweetheart far awayshy

But the letter far more welcome to an older gentler breast

Is the letter to your mother from the boy she loves the best

She will read it very often when the lights are soft and low

Sitting in the same old arm-chair where she held you long ago

And regardles of its diction its spelling or its style

Although its composition might provoke a critics smile

In her fond and trembling fingers it becomes a work of art

Stained by tears of joy and sadness as she hugs it to her heart

Yes the letter of all letters no matter where you roam

Is the letter to your mother from the boy away from home
