Celerant recently sponsored the IQPC Six Sigma Summit, which took place at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Conference Centre in Westminster. The event was a success for Celerant on a number of fronts. Over 270 delegates attended the eighth annual summit which began on Tuesday 17 th April and ended Thursday 19 th April. The event comprised of a series of workshops and talks, along with an exhibition area where Celerant had a stand. Celerant had a strong presence throughout the summit. On day one Jeff Patton and Mike Atkinson conducted a workshop, titled ‘Dream big, and deliver big, with a results driven programme’. The workshop was well received with 12 delegates attending. On day two Christopher Juul chaired the conference and Paul Donnellan did a joint presentation with our Reuters client Phil Cole titled ‘Driving Customer Satisfaction & Growth: Using a Six Sigma Programme to Improve Data Quality’. This presentation was one of the highlights of the conference and Phil Cole was extremely complimentary about Celerant, and the work we have done for Reuters. Later in the day, in one of the tracked sessions, Tony Tarquini and Paul Donnellan presented ‘From Laggards to Leaders – Moving Six Sigma to the next level’. This presentation focussed on Six Sigma in the Financial Services sector. This was also well attended with 25 delegates. The feedback was very positive. In addition Celerant hosted 7 guests – Mark Jamieson, Guy Summers and Daryl Dickman, all from Vodafone, Ricard Bras from Kairos Management, Sophie Smiles from onesixsigma.com, Dr. Oliver Duschka and Jean-Eric Bousser in the evening of the second day, where Celerant sponsored the awards dinner and Paul Donnellan presented the award for ‘Best Design for Six Sigma’. Apart from obtaining some excellent exposure and brand awareness for Celerant, we also came away with 25 new contacts and leads including Gordon Hardwick from GlaxoSmithKline and Christine Mottier from Kodak. “The event certainly helped people understand the scale of our offering, and the quality of our track record in Six Sigma. Our presence was prominent throughout the three day event, and consequently led to a high level of traffic to our stand”. Tony Tarquini, Celerant BDE
