Soy biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from renewable resources. The fuel is produced from soy oil which is otherwise a waste by-product from farming soybeans for human consumption. The key environmental benefits of using soy diesel B20 include: • Reducing the carbon footprint of SITA’s fleet by replacing fossil fuels with renewable fuels: For every litre of soy biodiesel B20 we use, we save 0.54 kilograms of CO 2 emissions. • Reducing exhaust odour and particulate matter compared to fossil fuels: The use of soy biodiesel reduces emissions of air pollutants such as particulate matter, smoke, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, reducing impacts on the community and the environment.
