1) Multiline Systems

The multiline system consists of severalpump elements that are installed in onecommon housing. From each individualelement, lubricant is supplied to one singlefriction point.

The progressive system may consist of thesame pump as single‐line or multilinesystems, however, one pump element, via aprogressive metering device, is capable ofsupplying several friction points withlubricant.

The two‐line system supplies the friction pointswith lubricant via two main lines that arealternatively pressurized. From the main lines,branch lines lead to the metering devices. Achange‐over valve is used to alternativelypressurize and relieve the main lines.

Adhesive Lubricants

‐ No solvents‐ must be fluid enough (NLGI 0 or 00)‐ short fibrous structure (long fibers tend to blot)

The grease unknown grease must be tested previouslyThe grease quantity depend of the type (see fabricant recommendations)Segun Klüber, the need of grease in work phase is maximum 8 gr/cm for pinion width and hourThe normal need of grease in work phase is 1 gr/cm

3.2) Lubricant supply using Ejector

Advantages

• Some plates can be connected to only one pneumatic pump.

• The grease quantity for each plate is adjustable.

• A drum pump can pump the grease

Disadvantage

• A hydraulic pipe is required to the filling

• An solenoid 5/2 is required for the ejector control

• The pump equipment supply the lubricant to the ejector at less of 100 bar in the pressure line

• The ejector can be considered like a mini‐pneumatic pump. The modular design prevents that the air and lubricant are mixed

• The ejector supply lubricant volumetrically at low pressure (ratio 35:1) to the points (for example SSV)

• Each ejector can be adjusted and/or handled individually.• The pneumatic electro valve control the function of the ejector cylinder.
