The History…
Király 50. in the middle of the Jewish district was an empty building for 10 years in terrible conditions belongs to the municipality.

Number of Young Jews and non Jews decided to ask the place from them (city) to open a new grassroots Jewish cultural centre.

The municipality refused to give the building. In secret they renovated it…

Why we opened Sirály?
To create a meating place To create a jewish inviorment for
thoose, that never would go a formal Jewish institution
There was no place for the agegroup of people between the age of 20 and 40
