Facts & Figures“Maocanka-Commerce” d.o.o. was founded in 1991. It lies at the foot of the fruit-growing region of Majevica, 18 km from Brcko, in an area called Maoca.During its existence, the company has earned brand recogni-tion from its high quality products, which include fresh Bosnian plums and medicinal herbs.

Products & ServicesThe company can provide the most beautiful plum varieties of Stanley and Cacanska ljepotica, from 15 July to 5 September. As a result of its excellent agricultural practices in the production of plums, Maocanka-Commerce was awarded GlobalGAP certification in 2007, which the company continues to hold to this day. In addition to plums, more than 100 wild, medicinal and aromatic plants from Bosnia-Herzegovina and other areas of the world can be offered. Herbs can be supplied in their original form, chopped to the desired granularity, or in powder form.

Mission & VisionThe goal of the company is to supply the best quality goods to customers at all times. The products are stored in superior conditions, before being packed and labelled with supporting documentation, prior to dispatch and delivery.

Facts & Figures“Vocni Rasadnik” – Srebrenik is the biggest producer of fruit seedlings in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With its exquisite geographic location in the region of northern Bosnia, approxi-mately 40 kilometers from the Croatian border, it possesses the best climate conditions for successful production. In the last few years Vocni Rasadnik has strengthened its position and now sells its products in domestic and foreign markets.

Products & ServicesThe core business involves the production of fruit seedlings. Vocni Rasadnik produces the following fruit species: apple, pear, plum, sweet cherry, sour cherry, peach, medlar, apricot, quince, walnut, hazelnut and soft fruits including strawberry, black-berry, raspberry, currant and gooseberry. In 2012 a new cold store was built to house the fruits and vegetables purchased from suppliers, ready to be traded and shipped all over Europe.

The process begins with the selection and planting of adequate plant material prior to its reaping and packing. The aromatic herbs are immediately stored in cold chambers to reduce the rate of transpiration, and are afterwards classified and packaged ensuring optimum handling throughout the production process. Facts & FiguresExtra Funghi is a family owned mushroom business that began in 1988. Its primary activity consists of the buying and processing of forest mushrooms. In 2007 the company built its own modern cooling facility, enabling a higher degree of processing and also facilitating the necessary conditions for own export. Today, the company manages the pre-cooling, packing and exporting of fruits and vegetable from its co-operants to customers worldwide.

Products & ServicesOn average, over 300–350 tons of mushrooms, and 300–500 tons of berries are collected and processed. More than 95 % of Extra Funghi products are exported, with the main customer being the processing industry. The other part of the exported products is sold as fresh produce for direct consumption. Geographically, the most important markets are EU countries.

It was founded in 2011 and has developed a strong and reliable production process.It is involved with the production and wholesale of early fruit and vegetables grown in the ecologically friendly Transcar-pathian region of Ukraine, under the “ZakarpatProduct” brand name.

Products & ServicesWest Retail LLC owns warehouses in four areas: in Lutsk, the Volyn region, the Kherson region and in Kiev. This allows the company to ship the produce to different destinations and to reduce transportation costs for customers. The company owns 70 hectares of land for growing, which consists of open fields and greenhouses. In addition, local farms are contracted that grow an additional 8,000 tons of early vegetables every year. Products are sorted and packed at West Retail’s centre in Pidvynohradiv village, in the Transcarpathian region in western Ukraine.

The Department of Trade and Industry (also known as the dti) is the department of the South African government with responsibility for commercial and industrial policy. The dti and its subsidiary agencies are involved in promoting economic development, Black Economic Empowerment, implementing commercial law (including companies law and intellectual property law), promoting and regulating interna-tional trade, and consumer protection.

Products & ServicesThe company exports plums from November to April and persimmons from April to June. In addition, Franschkoek Marketing can supply pomegranates – a relatively new crop in South Africa – which is available in the window from March to July. Facts & FiguresThe farm was established in the mid-1950s as a fruit growing business. It is located in the Hazyview area of Mpumalanga, South Africa. It prides itself on innovation and vertical integration in its growth and management control. At the farm, avocado trees thrive in an ideal climate. The fruits are packed in Hazyview Tropics modern facility, before being exported to selected clients. By being involved in all of the different stages of the chain, the company believes to have better production control and adapt earlier to market demand.

Products & ServicesHazyview Tropics is dedicated to the growing, packing and export of avocado, mainly Hass. In addition, the company also grows a substantial amount of green skin fruit, such as Fuerte, Ryan and Pinkerton.

Mission & VisionThe main strength of the company is to market the majority of its products outside of the traditional peak period of the southern hemisphere producers. This helps to alleviate some of the shortages of fruit at the beginning and end of the season, especially for the Ryan variety.Hazyview Tropics products are grown in an ecofriendly way, with minimal use of chemicals which helps to encourage an abundance of fauna and flora on the farm. In addition, fair and modern labour practices are adhered to.

Facts & FiguresThe farm started producing organic products back in the 1980s in Huaura, Lima. Cultivos Organicos itself was founded in 2008. Even since its inception, the farm has been working in an organic manner; pesticide free and producing own fertilisers. Nowadays, all fields are certified both with EU Organic and GlobalGAP.

Products & ServicesCultivos Organicos grows, packs and exports organic fresh produce, focusing mainly in fresh mandarins (from May to June), minneolas tangelo (from July to August) and avocado (from April to June).

Mission & VisionCultivos Organicos is convinced that good agricultural practices combined with organic production leads to sound products. Facts & FiguresIn 2007 Sociedad Agraria Estanislao del Chimú established itself as a pioneer in the cultivation of table grapes in the North of Peru. Today, the company is known for growing delicious high quality grapes and avocados all over the world. This has been accomplished by controlling every aspect of the growing, picking, cooling and shipping of the company’s grapes and avocados.

Products & ServicesCurrently the company has two farms in Peru. The CASA-BLANCA farm is located in the Jequetepeque valley, near Chiclayo in the North of Peru. The main grape variety is Red Globe, being produced on 67 hectares. The company also grows the seedless Sugraone variety. In addition, 63 hectares of the CASABLANCA farm are used for the production of Hass avocado. At the new farm HUACABLANCA 400 hectares of avocado trees have been planted.The quality of the products is guaranteed by GlobalGAP certification. Grapes and avocados are packed just next to the HACCP certified packing plant of CASABLANCA.
