1. Executive Summary

This report provides the test results found to date for the Cisco CME IP PBX SIP Trunking evaluation. The following is a summary addressed the issues and limitation found while performing the test.

Only integrated configuration where Cisco 3945 ISR G2 Acting as an IP PBX and a Router was tested. Dedicated configuration where Cisco 3945 ISR G2 acting only as an IPPBx and Cisco 2811 ISR acting only as router was not tested. The two device dedicated solution is a configuration where the CME processes only voice and is uplinked to one of the Cisco 2811 ISR Fast Ethernet ports. Data is connected to the second Cisco 2811 ISR Fast Ethernet port. The Cisco 2811 ISR in this configuration is used only as a router and was previously tested in this configuration using software version c2800nm-ipbasek9-mz.124-4.T7. bin during the CME 4.1 evaluation. In this configuration voice call setup time is unaffected by packet size or data rate.

Only SIP Interop related test cases are performed. No call capacity and call quality related tests were conducted.

IOS release Version 15.3(3)M3 used for testing for Cisco 3945 ISR G2 may not be XO certified IOS.

CME adds SIP Diversion header during call forward scenarios hence termination party can see original caller ID. No special changes requires to add Diversion header.

Blind call transfer to PSTN from PSTN worked with release 10.6. It was failed in old release test.

All Fax calls (G.711 pass through and T.38 relay) worked without any change on XO side. In old release test it was reported that changes on XO side requires for some specific fax calls to work.

Dynamic registration is utilized between the Cisco CME and the XO SBC.
