As a single person especially if you don’t have children there is so much that you can do in ministry programs. It is not to take anything away from those that are married or have children but you have so much more time and don’t have the extra responsibilities of family life.



For example, if there is a meeting or event as long as it doesn’t interfere with work you can attend. You don’t have to consult with your spouse on how much time you are spending at church, how much you do or don’t tithe or how many ministry groups you can join. Singles in ministry can enjoy a direct oneness with Jesus.



1 Corinthians 7:32-35

King James Version (KJV) 32But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.



34There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.



Once you become married the husband stands in the middle of the wife and Jesus. If the husband’s relationship is not strong in Christ, it can affect the wife’s relationship with Christ. Once you become married there are various responsibilities that we must carry out.



Marriage is completely optional and once we take the marriage vow there are covenants and promises for the married, but as singles in ministry you can tend to the things of the Lord without interruption.
