To enable the use of this device with DataMan 300 series readers, DataMan 503 reader, and Checker cameras, the pin assignments of the Power I/O connector can be remapped by switching a header between several connectors on the device.

Please note that the RS-232 connector only works with the DataMan 300 series readers.

Use a Checker Extension cable (CKR-200-CBL-EXT) to wire a Checker 4G, DataMan 300 series reader, DataMan 503 reader or In-Sight 7000 camera directly to the M12 connector on the Single Camera Connection Module.

Connecting a Camera

1 Remove the front cover by unscrewing the four screws.

This section highlights the steps needed to safely connect a camera to the Single Camera Connection Module.

2 Make sure that the header is plugged into the socket appropriate to the camera that will be connected to the single camera connection module.

3If you wish to use trigger wiring, unscrew the cable gland cover, thread in the trigger wire and then screw the cover tightly.

Make sure that the cable is secured tightly in the cable gland.

4 Insert the wire ends to the proper Input/Output terminal depending on your setup, then secure them using a flat head screwdriver.

5 Reattach the front cover.

6 Connect your camera to the M12 connector.

7 Connect the power cable.

Wiring Example

Ensure Input Common jumper matches wiring style of trigger!

The image below shows a general example for wiring cameras and different devices to the camera module. You can power up the camera using the M12 connector, and you can use trigger wiring to have the camera start reading at a specified trigger.

When mounting the Single Camera Connection Module, always use a flat and solid surface, and use all four mounting holes for maximum safety.

Mounting Instructions

• Observe safety regulations when mounting the unit.• Make sure the cable glands are pointing downwards.

Make sure that the Single Camera Connection Module is always accessible and not blocked by other equipment.
