Current EP and S Pass Holders • Spouse and children below 21 years can be included in the application
• Parents cannot be included in the PR application
• Main applicant must apply LTVP for parents, after their own PR approval • Tight timeline to complete LTVP process and current MOM passes will be
cancelled and only given 30 days visit pass
New Dependant After Obtaining PR • Spouse or new born
• Not automatically granted PR status; need to make appointment for PR
application (except for new born baby born in Singapore)
• However, main applicant must first apply personally for LTVP as PR appointment can be 6 months or more later and government review can take up to 1 year

Re-Entry Permit (REP) must be renewed every 5 years
Must remain employed by Singapore company in order to renew
Children generally only renewable up to 21 years old; if studying overseas, need to provide additional supporting documents such as school letter confirming duration of the course – discretionary approval
Thereafter, children must obtain PR based on own merits (employment in Singapore)

1 • Obtain EP or S Pass
2 • Await Recommendation Duration – EP 1 to 3 years; S Pass 3 to 5 years
3 • Important points to note (eg NS for second generation male PR) • Secure PR appointment if ready to proceed; appointment usually 6
months away
4 • Gather supporting documents (original) and finalise PR application form
5 • Main applicant to attend at ICA for PR application
6 • Await outcome; ICA will mail letter to residential address (update as
required) • Average 6 months
7 • Can remain on work pass (as long as criteria met) if PR is not granted

1 • Formalities to be completed within 2 months from date of approval letter • Appointment required
2 • Medical required for main applicant, spouse and children 15 and above
3 • All applicants to attend for completion of formalities
4 • Entry Permit and Re-Entry Permit (REP) will be given on day of appointment
5 • NRIC collection – appointment required • Waiting time – SingPost: approximately 1 week; ICA: approximately
3 weeks
6 • Register new SingPass for new national ID number • SingPass required for REP renewal and transfer of REP to new
passport
7 • Renew REP before it expires
8 • To maintain REP, must be gainfully employed for at least 3 out
of 5 years • Must remain employed by Singapore employer
