every time we gather at this table we are reminded of the great sacrifice you made for us, in giving up your life so that we might live. Thank you for this bread and wine. fill us with your Spirit, so that just as this bread and cup is your body and blood for us, so may we be your body out in the world.

empower us by your Spirit, to be christ's presence in the world even as Jesus was God- with-us. Give us courage to speak his truth, to seek his justice, and to love with his love. Keep us faithful in your service until christ comes in final victory and we feast with all your saints in the joy of your eternal realm.

Now in the boldness that is ours as your children, we pray together the prayer of the family of God:all: our father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. thy kingdom come. thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. amen.
