Since our founding in 1995, SPS has been dedicated to producing high quality Ductile Iron valves and fittings in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Our special blend of engineering expertise, craftsmanship, quality materials and sophisticated manufacturing processes have been the driving force behind SPS success in domestic and international markets.
In 2000, SPS set-up a foundry factory equipped with modern technology producing manhole covers & frames, gratings and valves casting.
In 2002, SPS again established a new factory producing a wide range of GRP/FRP/RTR and Pre-Insulated pipes ranging from 100mm up to 2600mm, and pressure rating of 6 bars to 25 bars.
In January 2004, SPS established an advanced facility with fully automated extrusion machinery producing High Density Polyethylene pipes (HDPE) with a minimum production output of 8,500 tons per year ranging from 16mm up to 400mm with pressure ratings of 5 bars to 16 bars.

GRP Machinery
Specializes in producing GRP pipes and fittings from small to big
ranges with standard specifications, through filament helical
winding and continuous filament winding processes
Helical Filament winding is produced in a process on a computer
controlled machine by adjusting relative speed of mandrel rotation
and glass distribution head movement. Helical reinforced layer with
different angles can be wound
Continuous Filament winding process only produces cylindrical
parts like pipes, based on a special continuous mandrel design

Insulation:
SPS pre-insulated pipes use polyol foam insulation. This rigid foam provides the lowest thermal conductivity
of any commercially available factory application for insulation. It has a high compressive strength and is

Advantages of Polyethylene (PE100)
High impact and breakage resistance.
Very high resistance to direct sunlight. This is supplied by ultraviolet light resistance agent mixed to the PE raw
material
Not affected by earth movements such as landslides, earthquakes, etc.
PE pipes do not require concrete block at the place like bending and tee separations
Many different pressure resistance options, PE pipes can be produced resistant to 12 different pressure classes
from 2.5 bar up to 32 bar
High resistance to chemicals, not affected by corrosion, decay and abrasion

Storage:
When valves are stored for some time (2 months or
more) before being fitted, storage should be in the
original delivery crates or cases
Storage Conditions:
Valves should be stored off the ground in a clean,
dry indoor area
Protect the valve from temperature and humidity
extremes, and exposure to excessive dust, moisture,
vibration, deformations and sunlight
Warning:
For safety reasons it is important to take the followingprecautions before starting to work on the valve:
1. Personnel making any adjustment to the valves
should utilize suitable equipment. All required
personal protection means should be worn.
2. The line must be depressurized before installing
the valve.
3. Installation and handling of the valves should only
be done by personnel that are trained in all aspects
of manual and mechanical handling techniques.
4. Misuse of the valve is not allowed. The valve,
handles, actuators and other parts may not be
used as climbing tools.
Storage and Handling

IMPORTANT:
Before valves are installed or used the following
actions are recommended:
1. Valves/parts have to be inspected and thoroughly
cleaned if required.
2. Rubber parts need to be greased with silicone
grease if not present anymore.
3. All surfaces in contact with seats have to be
thoroughly cleaned and greased with silicone
grease if stored for more than 5 months.
HANDLING:
To prevent damage during handling the valves should be:
1. Lifted by hand or using appropriate lifting equipment.
2. protected from external events e.g. bumps, hitting and
vibrations during transport.
3. Any flange protection needs to be removed before the
valve is mounted in the pipeline.
4. Lift the valve with great care from the transport
package (crate, pallet).
5. While handling or installing the valve, ensure that no
damage occurs to the valve, the pneumatic/electrical or
hydraulic actuator or other instruments.
