Wedge

Scissors are used to cut paper. They are usually found in your room or pencil case. I think this is an example of a wedge because it slices through paper. This is also a wedge. Knives are object that slice through things. Knives are used to cut through hard objects and chop them into smaller pieces. The scissors were found in my room and knife was found in the kitchen

WHEEL AND AXLE

Doorknob is a great example of a wheel and axle because you can clearly see the wheel rotating on the axle when you turn the doorknob. This toy train shows how a wheel rotates around the axle. This is a miniature version of a real life car. This is my rooms doorknob and I found the toy train in my brothers room.

LEVER

Levers are objects that help make our life more easier. Lifting weight usually gets easier because of a fulcrum

INCLINED PLANE

Inclined plane makes it easier to push heavy objects upwards without using much force. These stairs are outside my house and that is my front yard.

SCREW

screws take many twists to move short distances. Also they can seal anything air tightly. Also it can grind its way through many surfaces. I found the medicine bottle in the medicine cabinet and I found the screw in the tool box.

PULLEY

A pulley is something that helps by making your object seem lighter. And it makes things easier with a rope. The blinds are lifted with the help of a rope. Also the clothesline dries the clothes

COMPOUND MACHINES

These machines are made up of more than one simple machine and work together to form a compound machine.

The can opener is made up of:

Gear, lever, wedge, and wheel and axle.

The bike is made up of:

Gears, and wheel and axle
