Controlled environmental conditions with S!MPATI*
We set standards
The system control software S!MPATI*
enables optimum operation of yourenvironmental simulation and ovensystems for performing tests in the fields of research, developmentand production.
The operation of test systems be-comes easy and time-saving. Theintegrated monitoring routines en-hance the reliability of the systems.
You decide to what extent and howfrequently monitoring routines arecarried out. The evaluation anddocumenting of testing proceduresand the integration of your specialmeasuring data guarantee a highstandard of quality.
S!MPATI* networks testing systemswith a PC or a PC workstation. Thearchiving of all parameters of cham-ber configurations is thus ensured.
Thanks to user-friendly operationand self-explanatory menu guidingno menu training is necessary.
Online-help responds to any ques-tions that you may have.
S!MPATI* integrates itself into yourPC-network and enables the opera-tion with your Internet Browserfrom other PC’s without needingspecial software.
What has S!MPATI*
to offer?Control the test cycle
Store measured data
Easily create test programs withthe graphics editor

Interfaces
For linking with your systemsS!MPATI* processes data from the following external inter faces:
RS 232 / RS 422 / RS 485
Ethernet
IEEE 488.2/GPIB (option)
Thanks to internal interfacesS!MPATI* is compatible with
Microsoft-Word
Microsoft-Excel
National Instruments LabVIEW
Via TCP/IP interface it is alsocompatible with your specialuser software
Acrobat reader documents
S!MPATI* can operate underWindows 2003/2008 Server or Windows XP Professional/Windows Vista.
Mobile communication
S!MPATI* provides process informa-tion also via your hand held PDA(Personal Digital Assistance).
The PDA represents the S!MPATI*
services via Browser or receives e-mails generated in S!MPATI*.The PDA can be used either in yourfacility-network via wireless LAN oruniversally via GPM, GPRS or UMTS.
The PDA permanently provides youwith the latest information.
S!MPATI* has a webserver at its dis-posal which processes the relevantinformation and places it into thePC network. It can be retrieved byany PC through means of a suitableInternet Browser.

Create test programs. . .
Special editors for different test cycles:
Graphic editor Symbolic editor Shock test editor
Facilitates the creation of test pro-grams.
In contrast to the previous task ofprogramming, you can use thegraphic editor to design your testcycles with the greatest of ease.
As soon as you have selected themenu item “Create test program”the graphic editor appears on thescreen together with a small crossthat you can move with yourmouse.
Move the mouse pointer to a point on the profile that youwish to alter.
Double click at this point withthe left mouse button.> You have determined the firstpoint of your test program.
Move the created profile point tothe required position by clickingthe left mouse button and keep-ing it pressed whilst moving.
Move the cross in any direction(e.g. to the time t = 20 min).> You have now designed thefirst 20 minutes of your test pro-gram (programmed).
Your Advantages:
Time-saving as no extensivetraining required.
Error-free and quick creation oftest cycles.
You also have the possibility of using the “Symbolic Program Editor”for all systems with a S!MPAC*-,S!MCON/32*-NET- and M!NCON/32*
control system.
For the creation of simulation pro-grams, graphic POUs (program or-ganization unit) such as fixed val-ue, jump and ramp are rowed to-gether and the course of curve is clearly displayed in a sec-ond window. This editor is particu-larly suitable if special set valuecurves, e.g. exponential functions(that can be very difficult to con-vert) are to be realized.
You have the choice – graphic orsymbolic programming of timecontrolled processes.
There is a special editor for thecyclic temperature shock testswhich interrogates the essentialtesting parameters, such as thetemperatures in the hot and coldchambers and the dwell time, in asimple input mask and convertsthem into the corresponding testprograms. The following operating modes aresupported:
Normal (time control only)
Time optimised (minimum total running time with guaranteeddwell times)
Energy conservation
Pre- and post conditioning samplescan also be programmed.

. . .and evaluate measured data
BarCode scanning technology for data acquisition. . .
BarCode scanning technology canbe used for data acquisition.
Wireless scanner technology scansand transfers the information du -ring the loading of the chamber.
As alternative to keyboard andmouse this solution provides sig-nificant advantages such as:
Simple to use – even in clean-room conditions
“Fault-free” input of lot numbersand product ID’s
Scanning of process data
Automatic assignment of pro-cess cycles to existing products
Extensive training not required,no PC operation
Special features and advantages of the measurement-evaluation. . .
The measured data are stored andcan be represented at all times. You receive all the information nec-essary for benefiting from the eval-uated measured data.
Set and actual values of allprocess parameters
Settings of all digital channels during the entire test period
Deviations from actual values compared to set values
Gradients of the process parameters
and much more . . .
Processing of the measured data e.g. with MS-Excel. You can repre-sent the measured data over theentire test period or over a selectedsection of it.
It is also possible to display sec-tions using the zoom function anddisplay exact values of the processparameters using the readout func-tion.
For further evaluation you can alsoload the measured data in Excel.
For documentation purposes youcan copy the measured data ingraph form to your Word docu-ments or file it as PDF documents.
The advantages:
Perfect verification of extensivetests carried out on your prod-ucts
Easy evaluation due to cleargraphic representation and calculation options
Clearly arranged representa tion of all digital channels
Processing with well-knownsoftware products such asExcel, Word and Acrobat Reader
Compatible with your specialuser software due to TCP/IP interface
Easiest integration into automation ambience
Industry standard interface forprocess visualisation systems
and many more ingenious fea-tures that we would be pleased to demonstrate.

Functionality. . .
S!MPATI* manages all system anderror messages on the hard disk ofthe PC. The error report is a clearlylaid out function for browsingthrough the error databases withregard to individual units, defaulttime periods or different error cate-gories.
In addition to the normal messageson the screen and the entry in thereport file, e-mails can be generat-ed which are sent to different ad -dresses. Recipient of such an e-mailmay be the PC in the office, an operation and control centre or amobile telephone.
S!MPATI* uses an existing mailserv-er and supports SMTP.
