    SUMMARY

    BSiGroupSingaporePteLtd(BSi)hasconductedthefirstAnnual Surveillance Assessment (ASA1) of Sime DarbyPlantation Sdn Bhd Strategic Operating Unit SOU14(SOU14)operationscomprisingOne(1)Mill,supplybase,support servicesand infrastructure. BSi concludes thatSOU14 operations comply with the requirements ofRSPO Principles & Criteria: 2007 andMYNI IndicatorsandGuidance:2010.

    BSi recommends the continuation of the approval ofSOU14asaproducerofRSPOCertifiedSustainablePalmOil.

    1.0 SCOPEOFSURVEILLANCEASSESSMENT

    1.1 IdentityofCertificationUnit

    The SOU14 Mill and 3 Estates are located at PortDickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia (Figure 1).Additionalmapsare included (Figures2and3)showingSuaBetongandBukitPelandokEstateslayout.TheGPSlocationoftheMillisshowninTable1.

    1.2 ProductionVolume

    The estimated tonnages reported for the InitialCertificateand theactualproduction sinceCertificationare detailed in Table 2. The 2010/11 year to datetonnagesareslightlyhigherthanthosereportedfortheInitialCertificateduetoalloftheproductionfromBukitPelandok Estate being processed at TanahMerahMill.The Tanah Merah Mill production is expected to bemuch lower in 2011/12 because the crop from SuaBetongEstatewillno longerbeprocessedtherebutwillbedeliveredtothenewlyconstructedSuaBetongMill.

    The supply base is FFB from three Company ownedEstates that supply 100%of the cropprocessed at theMill.TheFFBproductionfromCompanyownedEstatesforthe01July200730June2008reportingperiodthatwasusedfortheInitialCertificate,andactualproductionare listed inTable3. Asnotedabove,SuaBetongcropwillbeprocessedatthenewSuaBetongMillin2011/12.
