Introduction

Welcome to the MacG Racing sponsorship presentation for the Britcar Silverstone 24hr race, to be held at Silverstone GP Circuit on 29th Sept to 2nd Oct 2011

MacG Racing are a family run Team, currently running a self built, 600bhp race prepared Ultima GTR in the Britcar British Endurance Championship.

The Team was founded in 1996, and is owned and run by Richard MacGregor, a life-long car enthusiast. He is aided by his son, and main driver, Jonathan MacGregor, who brings his technical expertise to the Team.

The Race

The Silverstone 24hr is a stand-alone event, run by the same organisers as the Britcar British Endurance Championship

The Silverstone 24hr attracts top teams from across the world, with teams and drivers travelling from as far as Australia and Japan for the 2011 race. Teams run some of the worlds most exotic cars such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Moslers and Dodge Vipers, among others

76 Teams will battle it out for overall honours on the full Silverstone GP circuit, racing at an average speed of over 100mph for a solid 24hrs


The Car

The standard Ultima GTR holds the world record for a production car 0-100-0 mph, as well as completing the Top Gear Test Track in 1:09.9secs (9secs quicker than a Ferrari Enzo!)

The MacG Racing Ultima is highly modified and adapted for full race use, and the Team built and developed the car

The Ultima GTR weighs just 1100kg fully fuelled with driver, and is powered by a race prepared 7 litre Chevrolet LS7 engine

The driver line-up is one of the strongest in the field, with two former British GT Champions signed for the event; Jamie Smyth and Adam Wilcox


Exposure

The event is attended by 1000’s of spectators, all of which have full access to the circuit, including paddock and team garages

Each of the 76 teams have 4 drivers and an average of 15 team members

The event is televised on Sky, ESPN and Motors TV (details TBA). It will also be streamed live online and is covered extensively by the world’s motor press

ESPN and Motors TV reach over 18 million homes across 30 countries in Europe


Team Website

MacG Racing and our website is well known within the car and trackday domain as a good resource for technical information, currently receiving upto 400 visits per day

Technical articles released periodically and race reports written after events

MacG Racing have Facebook, Twitter and Youtube channels, as well as a presence on Pistonheads, which achieved a traffic rank in the top 200 websites in the UK in 2010

Facebook and Twitter are updated real time during events to keep fans updated with progress


Our Packages

MacG Racing can offer a wide range of sponsorship packages for the event to suit every requirement and budget

Base packages start at just £1000, and include the following:

• Two logos on the car, maximum dimension 10” • Two tickets to the event for the weekend • Display of promotional information in the pit garage

Packages can range from the base package, above, through to the ‘full’ package as follows:

• Large logos on the car in the most prominent positions (front nose, side doors, rear wing)• Large logos on team suits (drivers and crew)• Logos on drivers helmets• Company name included in Team Name on all race literature, such as programs etc• Exposure on our website for 12 months with a clickable link to your website • Acknowledgement of your support in our news letters for 12 months• Acknowledgement of sponsors in interviews
