Transcript of SILO Electronic Press Kit
After toiling away for years in the smoky bars of Calgary, Alberta, SILO soared to the top of the rock scene in 2006 with their self-
titled debut album. What emerged next was “Bad Luck”, an album that fused Cash’s dynamic vocals, Young Blood and Itchy’s arena
ready guitars, Raps’ bone crushing drumming, and Jordo’s hypnotic bass groove, to create an album highlighting rock songs in their
purest form. The band as a whole generated a solid record chock full of technical masterpieces.
SILO’s latest, and highly anticipated single, Paper Notes is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. Before you take a listen, think back to your favorite classic rock ballad, mix in some modern day guitar riffs, and add in a whole lot of SILO’s attitude, and you will
just begin to imagine how you will feel when you hear Paper Notes.
SILO creates true rock anthems with soaring melodies and haunting lyrics – fist-pumping rock at its best. This isn’t cookie cutter rock and roll, so prepare yourself for a musical experience that is all too often forgotten by most other indie bands, but is
always remembered by SILO
Released to rock radio stations across Canada, and to satellite radio stations April 2011, Paper Notes will quickly become a fan favorite
of the infamous SILO Nation.

Cash is no stranger to music. Singing since before he could talk, Cash has developed a unique tone and cadence in his voice, which sets SILO apart from the rest of rock music’s front
men. Low growls or nearly angelic high notes flourish when Cash takes the stage. Besides his singing ability, Cash pours his heart out into every song he writes for SILO. This front man doesn’t need someone else writing his lyrics – they come as a second
nature to him.
–
Don’t let Young Blood fool you – he may hide behind his hair, but
as the lead guitar player for SILO, Young Blood knows how to rip
off a stellar solo on a moment’s notice, and when he leaves the
stage during one of SILO’s songs, have a look around at where
Young Blood might begin to shred… It just could be right next to
you. Talented is an understatement, when it comes to describing
Young Blood’s musical abilities. From the time he picked up the
guitar at the age of 10, it has become a permanent fixture – truly
part of his being.
–
He may play rhythm guitar for SILO, but Itchy is best known
for creating SILO’s signature harmonic guitar sound. Besides
harmonizing his guitar, you can hear Itchy’s other talent – singing
harmonies alongside Cash. When he’s not on stage, Itchy
continually creates riffs and unique harmony parts for SILO’s
supercharged songs. This boy will defiantly take his guitar to the
grave, because he never puts it down; literally.
–
If Jordo wasn’t rocking SILO fans with his deep bass groove,
you could possibly catch him onstage as a stand-up comedian.
There is never a dull moment when Jordo is around, especially
during SILO’s live performances. If he jumps off stage into the
crowd during a song make sure you stand back and witness Jordo’s
famous bass swing, and, of course, his stellar dance moves.
–
Even though he takes a backseat to the rest of the band on
stage, Raps doesn’t let that stand in the way from entertaining the
audience during SILO’s live shows. Think the Devil reincarnated;
to put it gently. Raps’ facial expressions and stick handling are
certainly a performance all their own. Pounding the skins since he
was 5, Raps continues to provide SILO’s unique sound with fast
paced, hard core drumming.
