Type of sign: a danger sign . What is it literally?

The FORM: pictures and writing. Where seen?

Could represent the date, or someone's age.

E.G

INDEX: an indexical sign has a direct relation to what is shown. Can represent a much larger issue, emotion or place. correct ✔

We know that this is the letter ‘C’ and that it is pronounced ‘cee’, but to someone from a different country it could represent something completely different.

A tear can represent someone being upset. Is that an index by your definition ?
