NEW EMISSION STANDARDS FOR MOBILE SOURCES

DAO 2015-04: Implementation of Vehicle Emission Limits for

Euro 4/IV, and In-Use Vehicle Emission Standards

• Prescribes the new emission standards effective July 1, 2015.

• Prescribes mandatory compliance of Euro 4/IV emission limits

/ standards effective January 1, 2016 for new vehicles.

• Sets more stringent emission standards for in-use motor

vehicles

• Enjoins DOE to ensure the availability of Euro IV fuels by July

1, 2015

• Provides a comparative quality of Euro II and Euro IV Fuels

UPCOMING PROGRAM: Non-contact Anti Smoke Belching Operation

Utilizing cameras to view smoke belching vehicles

In coordination with DOTC-LTO and

MMDA

Utilizes MMDA’s Metro Base system

EMB ASBU personnel will man the station

and gather video / screen capture of the

smoke belching vehicle and report to LTO

LTO will summon the owner of the smoke

belching vehicle and need to submit the

vehicle for testing
