Henry Heerup is one of the Cobra artists that has gained the most wide- spread area of distribution with his works all over the world. He had exhib- ited his works among other places in Amsterdam, La Biennale in Venice, in Oslo, in the Moderna Museum in Stockholm, in the World Exhibit in New York, in the Museum of Modern Art New York and countless of times in Denmark. The Louisiana Museum has a Henry Heerup sculpture garden and many of Heerup’s olipaintings and graphics. Henry Heerup’s art enjoy the honour of having its own museum in Rø- dovre and he also “shares” the art museum in Holstebro with Ejler Bille. Heerup’s incredible work effort shows in many different shapes such as oilpaintings, sculptures, decorations, graphics, litographics, linocuts and even in small composed melodies. Linocut is probably the most real form of graphic any artist can produce, because the lineum sheet (picture) take its form directly from the print of the linoleum sticks that the artist has carved. By signature and number the artist approve every pring. In 1990/91 Marion and Henry Heerup gave our gallery an offer: we could publish these rare Henry Heerup linocuts among which the main part have only been printed in very few examples. Different photos were chosen, divided in 3 sizes. These 30 linocut are pub- lished in 125 signaured and numbered editions and they can be pur- chased in the gallery until we are out of stock. This graphic work was the last signatured work from Henry Heerup’s hand. These linocut were among others sold to the Silkeborg Art Museum. The H.C. Andersen Museum in Odsense, Kastrupgårdsamlingen and it is represented at The Henry Heerup Museum in Rødovre plus it is fixtured in many of Heerup’s collections.
