Browse the great selection of new releases and old classics, and stick around and enjoy some live music. Cactus Music always has great in-store performances from all different kinds of artists. Day 4: Tuesday 13th September, 2016 Houston – San Marcos – San AntonioTravel by coach to San Marcos and the Cheatham Street Warehouse, the birthplace of George Strait and the Ace in the Hole Band. Strait played his first 60 shows at Cheatham Street before becoming one of the most successful country artists in history. Day 5: Wednesday 14th September, 2016 San AntonioSan Antonio is where you will find a true taste of cowboy culture. The Italian-born Salvatore Lucchese travelled to San Antonio to set up Lucchese Boots in 1883, which eventually became the boot of choice for cowboys and country artists the world over. Day 6: Thursday 15th September, 2016 San AntonioThis morning see the signts including the famous battle fields of The Alamo. Then travel to Helotes and the Honky Tonk Café for an optional lunch, possibly indulge in their world famous tomales. Randy Rogers likes them so much he recorded a live album at Floore’s called Homemade Tamales. The venue has hosted everyone from Elvis to Little Richard and is known fondly as the “birthplace” of Willie Nelson. This evening enjoy entertainment at Gruene Hall. Established in 1878, Gruene is the oldest dance hall in Texas, hosting some of the best in Texas music most nights, from heritage artists to modern stars. Day 7: Friday 16th September, 2016 San Antonio – Luckenbach – Fredricksburg – Bandera - Austin Head down the road to the Luckenbach General Store. Pick up a souvenir or two from the spot made famous by several songs, including “Everybody is Somebody” and “Ain’t Nobody Feelin’ No Pain”, by Waylan Jennings.Depart for Bandera, just outside Austin, for dinner and evening entertainment at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar.Accommodation: Embassy Suites Downtown Austin
