SHARELIFE CAMPAIGN PARISH GOAL: $70,000 “Living the Gospel by evangelizing our faith in the greater world… St. Anthony’s parish in the Diocese of Guntur in India has nine mission stations which are between 10-15 kilometres away
from the parish. There are nearly 350 Catholic families and five hundred children going to school from these areas. As the mission stations are a distance from the parish, the faithful do not experience many religious activities. Father Mayakuntala Kumar, pastor of the parish, with the support of the Pastoral Mission Fund and ShareLife, is conducting a Children Faith Formation Camp to help the children to become rooted in the Catholic faith. With our support, Father Kumar is helping to evangelize the faith not only for today, but for the future as well.

CLOSER TO JESUS? St Jerome’s parish is inviting all parishioners to do the Consecration to Jesus through Mary in honour of the 100th
Anniversary of the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. There is a 33-day preparation, beginning the 28th of April, which can be done simply by daily reading from the book 33 Days to Morning Glory, which reflect on four great Marian giants: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian
Kolbe, Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Saint John Paul II. A weekly meeting for DVD teaching by Fr. Gaitley and group discussion will be available beginning Tuesday, April 25th at 7:30 p.m. The DVD can also be accessed on www.Formed.org for individual or small group viewing. If you
are interested in hosting a small group in your home please inform the office.
PARISHIONERS INVITED… The RCIA team is inviting parishioners to join the Neophytes, those baptized and welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil, on Wednesday evenings beginning April 26th - May 31st. Please mark your calendar and join us for one, two or all of these sessions. We will be reflecting on the Gospel readings of the Easter season. This will also be a great opportunity for you to get to know our Neophytes and help them integrate into our community. SENIOR MEN’S HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY April 23rd
Completely Trust in Jesus
Trust in Jesus is the essence of the message of mercy. When we go to a public fountain, we can draw water from it as long as we have a vessel or container of some kind to put the water in. If our vessel is small, we can only bring back a little water; if it’s large, we can bring back a lot. And anyone with a vessel can draw water from the fountain. The water is there for us, and no one is excluded. All we need is a vessel.
So, it is with God’s mercy. In repeated revelations to St. Sister Faustina, Our Divine Savior makes it clear that the fountain is His Heart, the water is His Mercy, and the vessel is trust.
“I have opened My Heart as a living fountain of mercy. Let all souls draw life from it. Let them approach this sea of mercy with great trust (Diary, 1520). On the cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls – no one have I excluded! (1182). I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature: ‘Jesus I Trust In You’ (327). The grades of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is – trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive. (1578)
Divine Mercy Sunday is the second Sunday of Easter, April 23rd and all parishioners are invited to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 p.m. in the church.
“I remind you , My daughter, that as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment mercy was open wide for every soul.”
