Server Restart only for OPC UA relevant changes
Download of objects - behavior of the OPC UA server
• PLC is in operating mode STOP: the OPC UA server always stops and restarts automatically.
• PLC is in operating mode RUN: the OPC UA server stops only if the objects which are downloaded to the PLC are
OPC UA relevant. After Re-initialization because of changed OPC UA data the OPC UA server starts automatically.
In STEP 7 a preview dialog occurs with warning information before OPC UA relevant objects are downloaded to the
PLC (=> STOP of the OPC UA server).
Benefit for customers:
• Depending on the current status of the application every user can decide by his own if a restart of the OPC UA
server is suitable for the process or if the download should be shifted.
• The warning information are only displayed if the OPC UA server is running.
• When the OPC UA server was not activated, any changes of OPC UA relevant data do not influence the download
process.

4. E.g. in case of errors, the CPU is able to send an
encrypted E-Mail with error/diagnostic information to the
service personal. The sent E-Mail can be displayed on a
PC, Tablet or Smart Watch
