With support issues, one of the basic things to check for when users get IE related issues, is their Internet settings and ActiveX settings. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View Objects. Delete any Siebel objects that may be damaged, or you can also delete all objects for a clean download. Click on Delete files and clear up all files. Click on Delete cookies to empty out the cookies folder. _________ After following these steps, when you next log in to the application, you will be prompted to download the ActiveX components and thus your view objects will now have a new set of Hi Interactivity components.

Internet Settings

The User Logged into the Physical Machine must have Administrative rights on the Machine.

With support issues, one of the basic things to check for when users get IE related issues, is their Internet settings and ActiveX settings.

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View Objects. Delete any Siebel objects that may be damaged, or you can also delete all objects for a clean download.

After following these steps, when you next log in to the application, you will be prompted to download the ActiveX components and thus your view objects will now have a new set of Hi Interactivity components.

If you are returned to the Log in Screen after logging in, please check the following settings within Internet Explorer.

If the user logs directly Into the MTNGROUPSA Domain set the ActiveX settings from Tools -> Internet options -> Security -> Local Intranet.

o Otherwise set the ActiveX settings from Tools -> Internet options -> Security -> Internet.

-> Custom Level - Make sure the following are set as indicated : ActiveX controls and plugins = Enable Download signed ActiveX controls = Enable Download unsigned ActiveX controls = Enable Run activex controls and plugins = Enable Script activex controls marked safe for scripting = Enable Automatic prompting for file downloads = Enable File download = Enable Access data sources across domain = Enable Use pop-up blocker = Disable Scripting (all options) = Enable

-> Sites -> Advanced – Add the following Web Site to the Zone *.mtn.co.za*

Check that the Pop-Up Blocker is disabled at the following Location Tools -> Internet options -> Privacy

If the User is still unable to log into Siebel, log a call with Client Server in order for the User to be moved to the “User Login” Domain.
