The Model N44-I Stylus (stylus g r ip color-blue) has
a .001 (.026 mm) diamond t i p and may be used in the
M44 Dynetic Cartridges to reproduce monophonic long
play records. In fhis case, the ampli fier should be set
t o "Monaural" or "A -1- 6." The N44-I is designed for
tracking forces of 1 % t o 3 grams. The M4 4 Cart ridge
with an N44-I Stylus has a compliance of 20 x I 0 fi cm.
per dyne, a frequency response of 20 t o 20,000 cps, and
an output level o f 7.5 millivolts at 1,000 cps at 5 cm/sec.
The Model N44-3 Stylus (stylus g r ip color-green) has
a ,0025 (.064 mm) diamond I'ip and may be used in the
M44 Dynetic Cartridge to reproduce the Standard 78
rpm records. In this case, the amplifier should be set
t o "Monaural" or "A + B." The M44-3 is designed for
tracking forces of 1y2 t o 3 grams. The M4 4 with the
N44-3 stylus has compliance of 20 x I 0 (i cm. per
dyne, frequency response of 20 to 20,000, and an output
level of 6 millivolts at 1,000 cps at 5 cm/sec.
The Model N44-5 Stylus (Stylus g r i p color-Red) has
a .0005" (.013 mm) diamond t i p and is used in the
Mode l M44-5 Stereo Dynetic Cart ridge. The N44-5 is
designed to track at forces of j/4 t o 1y2 grams. The
M44 Cartridge with an N44-5 Stylus has a compliance of
25 x 10" cm. per dyne, frequency response o f 20 t o
20,000 cps, channel separation of more than 25 db a t
1,000 cps, and an output level of 7 millivolts per channel
at 1,000 cps at 5 cm/sec.
The Model N44-7 Stylus (stylus g r i p color-white) has
a .0007" (.018 mm) diamond t ip and is used in the
Model M44-7 Stereo Dynetic Cartr idge. The N44-7 is
designed for tracking forces of t o 3 grams. The
M44 Car tr idge with an N44-7 Stylus has a compliance o f
20 x lO 6 cm. per dyne, frequency response of 20 t o
20,000 cps, channel separation of more than 25 db a t

The Model N44C Stylus (stylus gr ip color-light blue)
has a .0007" (.018 mm) d iamond t i p and is used in the
M44C Stereo Dynetic Cartridge. The N44C is designed
fo r tracking forces of 3 t o 5 grams. The M44 Ca rt ri dge
with an N44C Stylus has a compliance of 7.5 x 10-6
cm/dyne, frequency response of 20 t o 20,000 cps. Chan-
nel separation of more than 25 db at 1,000 cps., and an
output level of 9.3 millivolts per channel at 1,000 cps
at 5 cm/sec.
The Model N44G Stylus (Stylus gr ip color-dark gray)
has a .0007" (.018 mm) diamond t i p and is used in the
Mode l M44G Stereo Dynetic Car tridge. The N44G is
designed to track at forces of j/4 t o 1 % grams. The
M44 Car tr idge with an N 44G Stylus has a compliance o f
25 x 10-6 cm. per dyne, frequency response of 20 t o
20,000 cps, channel separation of more than 25 db a t
1,000 cps, and an ou tput level o f 6.2 millivolts per chan-
nel a t 1,000 cps at 5 cm/sec.

is practically immune t o damage dur ing normal usage.

torting the stylus assembly whenit

Stylus replacement is very simple and fast. To replace
-grasp molded housing of stylus between thumb and
forefinger. Gently withdraw stylus by ~ u l l i n gorward out
of cartridge. Grasp replacement stylus between thumband forefinger and insert into stylus socket. Press stylus
into socket until the molded housing of the stylus touches
the cart ridge case. Ca re must be taken not t o allow the
finger to slip off the molded housing of the stylus result-
ing in damage to the stylus tip or shank.
GUARANTEE: The Shure Stereo Dynetic Styli are
guaranteed to be free from electrical and mechanical
defects for one year from the date of shipment from the
factory, provided all instructions are complied with fully.
The guarantee does not cover stylus wear nor does i t
cover damage t o the stylus assembly from abuse or
mishandling.
SERVICE PROTECTION- CCIDENTAL DAMAGE:Shure Dynetic Styli will withstand long, continued usage.
However, if the stylus assembly should be damaged due
to accidental mishandling, and the diamond tip is still
intact, the stylus assembly may be returned t o the factory
