INTRODUCTION
International Real Estate Expo (IREX) is an innovative platform to market real estate to elite clientele and top-tier investors in India. It is an annual event that presents international real estate investment avenues for high net worth and wealthy individuals who intend to invest in international real estate and premium luxury properties in India.
The second edition of International Real Estate Expo (IREX) was successfully held in New Delhi in October 2016. The show drew tremendous response from visitors from all over India who could meet the participating real estate developers and investment firms from US, Canada, UK, Europe, UAE, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Australia. IREX 2016 showcased more than 100 projects of about 35 companies and presented investment opportunities in Residential, Commercial, Retail, Hotel & Leisure sectors.
The second edition drew participation from international real estate companies likeAl Marjan Island, Damac Properties and RAK Properties from UAE, Berkeley Homes and Ballymore from UK, Lennar & Compass from USA, McMillan Hathaway from Australia, Patroclos and Korantina Homes from Cyprus, Dusit Thani from Sri Lanka, Angel Real Estate from Thailand, among others.
About 2000 HNIs visited the show. A VIP Reception was held on the opening day where well known Bollywood personality Ms. Gauri Khan was the Chief Guest.
Coinciding with the show, IREX Investment Forum was organized on the second day which dwelt on the global investment scenario and various financial and legal issues of international real estate investment. The country and project presentations were part of this informative forum where investors gained insight to take informed investment decisions. The panel discussion at the Investment Forum was covered by NDTV and moderated by the celebrity anchor, Ms. Manisha Natarajan.
As part of its industry initiative, the organisers have launched IREX Business Connect. IREX is bringing Indian property brokers in touch with international property developers, so that they can work for them as their local sales agents/representative in India. This opens new business avenues for the Indian property brokers and help them learn international trade practices besides ensuring year long sales for foreign developers through these agents.
The event was supported by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) which has 1.1 million members from all over India. Knight Frank India was the Knowledge Partner, Remax India was the Global Realtor Partner and Colliers International were the Consultants and Service Partners of the show.

Coinciding with the show, IREX Investment Forum was organised which dwelt on various issues of international real estate investment in India. Real Estate experts from Knight Frank India, Colliers International, JLL India, REMAX India, T.P. Ostwal & Associates LLP, Hariani & Co. presented and analysed various potential investment destinations and prospects.
Project presentations was part of this informative forum where investors gained insight to take informed investment decisions.

Real Estate Investment opportunities in US, Canada, UK, Europe, UAE, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand were showcased at the show.
Some of the companies from UK and US offered unique investment options. CS Global from UK, Step America, Compass from US, Aristo Developers, Partoclos and Korantina Homes from Cyprus offered novel concept of overseas real estate investment combined with citizenship. Dusit Thani from Sri Lanka were offering beach front luxury residences in the picturesque city of Balapitiya in Sri Lanka.

“I would love to be able to read people’s minds. There is so much mystery and I love cracking people down. Teleportation would be cool too, as we travel a lot and a plane can be suffocating at times. Also, if everything I think could magically be written someplace. I think a lot and sometimes my thoughts just go. I would love it if it could be captured somehow.”
“The ability to read people’s minds would be a great superpower. Like Mel Gibson in the film What Women Want where the actor can hear what women are thinking. It would be a good skill that would help me in my business. I would read my competitor’s minds to see how scared they are.”
