Booths must be staffed during these hours. The facility opens at 8 AM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for exhibitors only.

Move-In Dates & Times: February 27 Thursday 9 AM - 6 PMFebruary 28 Friday 8 AM - 11 AMPlease do not arrive before the scheduled move-in time listed above.

Move-In Instructions: ALL EXHIBITORS MUST CHECK IN AT THE SHOW OFFICE BEFORE INITIATING BOOTH SET-UP. Please arrive during this scheduled time.

Move-In Requirements: All exhibitors must have their contracts paid in full and all paperwork signed before being permitted to move-in and set-up. NO PERSONAL/COMPANY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SHOW SITE. Booths not completely paid for by 6:00 PM on Wednesday February 26, may be forfeited. Any booth not set-up by 11:00 AM on Friday February 28 may be forfeited.

Move-Out Dates & Times: March 1 Sunday 5 PM - 7 PM March 2 Monday 8 AM - 12 PMExhibitors, DO NOT remove any part of your display from the booth area prior to 5 PM Sunday. Metro Expositions is not responsible for any exhibits left past 12 PM on Monday.

Admission: General admission to the show is $5.00. Exhibitors will be admitted at no charge with their badge or company identification such as a business card or uniform.

Booth Dimensions:All booths are 8 feet deep by 10 feet wide unless otherwise noted. Each exhibit space has 3 foot high side dividers and n 8 foot high back with pipe and drape. A standard 7 inch by 44 inch trade show identification sign and electrical is included. Carpet, tables, chairs, etc. are not included. Contact Danielle at Special Events (925) 605-2915 to make arrangements for these types of items.

Affix signs to show Property:No exhibitor may pin, staple or otherwise affix signs, photographs, stickers, banners or other display materials to drapes or other show property without written permission of show management. Any damage to show property will be charged to the exhibitor.

Pre-Show InformationElectrical:A standard 500 watt outlet is included in the booth fee. Request a form if you need to order additional.

Parking:There is a parking garage across from the Double Tree Hotel. All parking is paid to the city. Parking pasees are not provided.

Decorating Item Rental:Tables, counters, chairs, carpets, waste baskets, etc. are available for rent from the official Show Decorator. All decorating orders must be paid in advance.

Setup/Booth Supplies:Set Up Supplies: We have some extra items on hand, tape, scissors, step stool, dollies (first come first serve), but please make sure to bring all necessary items with you in case we do to carry them.

Handouts:All items, samples, etc. may be distributed by the exhibitor only from within the confines of the exhibitor’s booth. Show management reserves the right to evaluate the safety and/or offensiveness of novelty items or handouts.

Music Licensing:Metro Expositions does not allow music at the show due to unfair ASCAP/BMI/SESAC licensing procedures. Please refer to section 6 of your exhibitor agreement. If you were planning to play music live or recorded at the show, please contact the Show Director.

Exhibitor Badges:An Exhibitor badge affords you the privilege of entering the Modesto Home Improvement Show during move-in, move-out, and one hour prior to opening during show days. Badges must be worn when entering the building.

Exhibitor badges are only for employees working your booth and should not be used for family, friends or guests. Complimentary tickets are available for your guests, family and friends.

Fireproofing:All materials used in the construction and decoration of an exhibit must be flame retardant. All carpeting and floor coverings must have a Class 1 flame spread rating and UL between 0 and 25. A fire marshal will be on-site from set-up through dismantle conducting routine inspections.

Resale Number:If it is your intent to sell a tangible product at the show, Metro Expositions must have your resale number on file one month prior to the show. Contact the State Board of Equalization if you do not have a resale number.

Show Office:The show office is located in the back of the Centre Plaza next to the street level loading door.

Vendor Lounge:There will be a vendor lounge with complimentary coffee, donuts, water, snacks, tables & chairs. Please see show office for location.

Sales Tax:Sales Tax in Stanislaus County is 7.88% *as of date of printing.

2020 Modesto Spring Home Improvement Show

An excellent way to gain exposure at the show is BOOTH BINGO. By participating in this unique program, show attendees will visit your booth to have you stamp their BINGO card. The visitor wants to participate to win prizes. You’ll want to participate to attract more traffic to your booth.

How it works:You bring in a prize valued at $25 or more to the show office when you check in for a show. You’ll pick up a stamp pad, stamp with your BINGO number on it as well as a card to hang in your booth to let the show attendees know that you are a BOOTH BINGO participant.

Show attendees are given a BINGO card when they enter the show and they carry this card around the show looking for the BINGO number hanging in your booth. They stop at your booth to get their card stamped and they get a chance to look and see what you’ve got!

Insurance Requirements Exhibitors shall carry and maintain during the entire period of any show, including move in and move out days and at its sole cost and expense, personal injury and property damage coverage under a policy of general public liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) per occurrence unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Metro Expositions must be named as an additional insured and certificate holder with correct address, P.O. Box 1384 Elverta, CA 95626. Proof of workers compensation is required. Exhibitor warrants that by signing this Agreement, it has complied specifically with the insurance requirements of this agreement.

As a courtesy to our exhibitors, we offer coverage through our Insurance that meets the requirements. To be added to this insurance policy, it only costs $65 per exhibitor. Fill out the information below and either mail or fax it to us with your payment.

PAYMENT FOR SERVICES:

Special Events requires payment in full at the time services are ordered. Special Events also require a credit card authorization with your order.

This will be used TO CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR SERVICES NOT COVERED BY YOUR INITIAL PAYMENT.

Your order will not be processed without it.

DISCOUNT PRICING:

To qualify for the advanced prices, orders must be received by the deadline date noted at the top of each form along with payment.

Orders that come in without payment will not be processed and may not qualify for discounted prices.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

Special Events accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Expressand Discover Card. Purchase orders are not considered payment.

All payments must be made in U.S. Funds. All credit card orders are charged at the time the order is processed.

TAX EXEMPT:

If you are tax exempt in the State of California, you must provide a sales tax exemption certificate. This certificate must be received by Special

Events by the discount DEADLINE.

ADJUSTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS:

Adjustments to your invoice must be made before the close of the show. Most items, services and labor are subject to cancellation fees. Please

refer to each order form for details. Your invoice will be delivered to your booth prior to the last day of the show. If you have any additional labor or

other items added after the invoice is delivered, a second invoice will be provided and mailed to the address you supply on the order forms.
