SHOW DESCRIPTION: Avenue Q tells the story of a group of twenty-somethings struggling to find their purpose in downtown New York City. In the world of Avenue Q , not all monsters are the same, puppets make mix tapes, and everyone’s a little bit racist. As universal as schadenfreude, Avenue Q is a musical about community, bad ideas, and the long, turbulent journey to adulthood. CHARACTERS: The Puppets Princeton: The starry-eyed romantic hero. Fresh out of college and new to the building. Rod: An uptight lawyer. Roommates with Nicky. Kate Monster: An assistant kindergarten teacher who dreams of finding a soulmate and opening her own school for monsters someday. Lucy the Slut: A performer at the Around the Clock café who becomes romantically involved with Princeton. Isn’t afraid to work what she’s got. Nicky: A kind-hearted slacker. Lives with Rod. Trekkie Monster: A reclusive shut-in who spends most of his time online. Mrs. T: Kate’s kindergarten boss. Bad Idea Bears: The creepy-but-cute devils on everyone’s shoulders. If you have a bad idea, they’re probably behind it. The People Gary Coleman: The former star of TV’s “Diff’rent Strokes,” now the superintendent of the apartment complex. Male or female. Christmas Eve: An aspiring therapist from Japan, dating Brian. Brian: Dating Christmas Eve. A former comedian who now works part-time as a caterer. Perpetually unemployed.

Blood Brothers By Willy Russell

Blood Brothers is a heart-warming story of Mickey and Edward, two brothers separated at birth, brought together again through friendship. However, their familial relationship is concealed by their guardians who strive to keep them apart because of superstitious beliefs.

Despite relocating, their lives continue to intertwine, although the deep divisions between the privileged life of Edward and Mickey’s poverty-stricken existence are wholly apparent. As they try to conquer the social divisions that hinder their friendship, they must deal with the harsh realities of class-consciousness; Edward goes on to study at Oxford whilst Mickey is forced into a life of crime through unemployment.

As adults, they are caught up in a vicious love triangle with Mickey’s childhood sweetheart Linda. Mickey’s imprisonment and subsequent depression pushes Linda into the arms of the conciliatory Edward. A desperate Mickey takes drastic action against his fraternal twin that will ultimately expose their true identities and lead to their deaths.

Mrs. Johnstone- Mickey, Eddie, and Sammy’s birth mother who takes a job as a housekeeper for the Lyons in order to support her family and pay the bills. Mrs. Lyons- Eddie’s very wealthy “adopted” mother. Mr. Lyons- Eddie’s very wealthy “adopted” father. Narrator- The omniscient narrator who describes the action of the story through poems and songs. Mickey (Twin)- Raised in a poor family my Mrs. Johnstone, he deals with depression, drugs, and crime in his adulthood. Eddie’s best friend. Eddie (Twin)- Raised in a wealthy family Mr. and Mrs. Lyons, he becomes a successful councilor in his adulthood. Mickey’s best friend. Sammy- One of Mrs. Johnstone’s children- a troublemaker and a criminal. Linda- The love interest of both Mickey and Eddie. Ensemble- Plays various roles

Lilly is a scholarship student from a very rural town in Massachusetts. On her first break from college, she comes home to her cousin Tony— her combination father, brother and best friend— and the rest of the old crowd.  They live in an ominous rhythm of hard work and heavy drinking but Lilly is somehow out of the loop since she left for school.  Lilly must confront her attractions to both Tony and Tony's girlfriend Franky and choose between the familiar but dangerous life of her small town and the unknown future privileges of a college education.  In an attempt to bring her new world and her old world together, Lilly breaks apart everything around her.  Sometimes in order to leave your home you have to destroy it.   LILLY MARINO  Amherst freshman, curious, reckless.  TONY MARINO  Lilly’s cousin and protector.  Hot‐blooded.  FRANKY LaRUE  Tony’s longtime girlfriend. Observant, waiting for something.  VIN WRIGHT  Hard‐worker, red‐blooded, weed‐dealer.  DREW AVERY   Unemployed, a bit of a romantic.
