Shot Composition Activity

MARKING CRITERIA: CONSTRUCTION

Framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate;

These are three very important marking criteria from the AS mark scheme and need to be thought about very carefully when shooting your opening.

Working in your groups and using a flip, carry out the following task:

Shoot a series of images of figures, objects and buildings using the following compositional rules or guidelines:

1. A Long Shot (LS) and Close Up (CU) using the Rule of Thirds

2. A LS and Medium Shot (MS) using Leading lines

That is 12 shots in total so each member of the group should take at least three shots each.
