As the fields are planted and flowers begin to bloom our minds turn to summer vacation and all that it holds – sports, outdoor concerts, picnics, camping, a different, if not slower, schedule. In all of the fun of summer, we also want to encourage you to take opportunities to continue to grow in Christ. Plans are being made for various events throughout the summer for children, youth and adults, so be watching for details in the coming weeks. In addition to events sponsored by First Covenant, several students from church will be attending Lake Beauty throughout the summer and in July four of our youth (Andrew & Bryce Olsen, Katie O’Donnell and Kya Nickel) will be attending CHIC in Knoxville, TN. All of these are opportunities for spiritual growth. Throughout all of this, though, we also encourage you to take time each week to gather as followers of Jesus Christ. We say this not for ourselves, but because each of us needs time to sit back, and be filled with the nourishment that comes from being with other believers and to be an encouragement to those around us. As our new mission statement say, we exist to “encourage the journey to Christ, and nurture the walk with Christ.” That walk is encouraged as we worship together and grow in Jesus. May you have a blessed summer. 1

JUNE IS PET APPRECIATION MONTH! Church members pets are displayed on the next page.

WILL THERE BE ANIMALS IN HEAVEN?

The Bible is very clear that there will be animals in the “NEW” heaven: Isa 65:25 also Isaiah 11:7 Revelation 8:6 horses are coming and going in and out of heaven . Revelation 8:13 lists an eagle flying in heaven . Randy Alcorn in his book called “Heaven” believes that animals will be present in the Kingdom of Heaven. see Mark Lowry Psalm 36:6 “Dogs go to Heaven:” on ‘You Tube.” Famous Christian authors who believe that pets go to heaven include C. S. Lewis and dozens and dozens of others.

JUNE IS PET APPRECIATION MONTH

ANNIE is a four year old miniature Schnauzer owned by NICK & MARCIE MOSHIER . Marci says, “Annie is unique be-cause she seems to understand way more than she should! We joke that she is part human. She can do the basic commands-sit, stay, come, lay down, and speak. Her best trick is that she can do high fives. She is a very social dog and loves when people come to visit at our house or if she can come with us to our family member’s houses. She is very good company and is a very loyal copilot who loves us right back.”

MILES is owned by John & Kris Stewart. prefers blue over red and is an amazing animal.

They also have a Gold fish that knows no talents!!

ZEPHYR is the household pet of the O’Donnell family. Ac-cording to Gretchen he’s good at shedding all over you if you barely touch him!

RYAN MIDDAGH has two dogs named Lucy and Ebony. Lucy is a Britany Spaniel and Ebony is a lab mix.

ZOE, COCOA, SPOT AND ELLIE are 4 dogs on the Charles & Phyllis Middagh farm! They’re household pets as well as good farm dogs. They chose ZOE but the other dogs are rescue dogs.

SPECKLES is a 6 year old purebred Basset Hound and the household pet of Dale & Shirley Martin. They rescued her 3 years ago. She was not very friendly and was afraid of people. That changed quickly. After 6 weeks she loves everyone. She makes us laugh every day. Basset hounds are big clowns. She is very loving, especially likes children and is affectionate. She loves attention. She wel-comes anybody and thinks they have come to see her! When Shirley is not filling in at Southwest Men-tal Health Center, she takes Speckles to a local nurs-ing home every 2 weeks where she visits about 22 people. She is a wonderful pet.

CAREBEAR is a purebred Schipperke. She is owned by the Brandner family and is 13 years old. She was given to Bob’s mom and dad as a pup-py., She was distraction for them as they battled cancer so thus his mom named her Carebear! After they both passed, we inherited her. She “talks” to us often as we come in and ut of the house. If we’ve been gone for a while, she meets us at the door and it sounds as though we are getting scolded.

JEFFREY LING graduated from Worthington High School and then went to Minnesota West and Technical College, Pipestone, graduating with an Associate of Science degree. In 2010 Jeff graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, South Dakota with an Industrial Engineer degree and began working at Bedford Industries.

Jeff says “As an Industrial Engineer I end up working on a wide variety of projects, including safety, quality, training, efficiency and workflow.” Because of the construc-tion of a new 110,000 square feet addition to the building he has been doing a lot of work on the layout. He continued to say “Layouts are done on this computer in my office with an Engineering program called AutoCAD. It lets me drop in drawings of the machinery into a plant layout. From here I can move stuff over and over until we arrive at a layout that works, It is a lot of iterations of layouts, trying to account not just what it will look like right away but what it could look like later. I end up trying to look into the future to make sure the immediate layout doesn’t interfere with what might happen”.

Bedford Industries, Inc. is a privately owned, entrepreneurial and innovative manufacturing company that was founded in 1966, by Bob Ludlow. According to their website, Bedford produces plastic coated wired twist ties and have developed a variety of products that enables manufacturers in promoting their brands and products with the ElastiTag® family of products. Bed-ford works with a range of clients which includes Uni-lever (Dove), Procter & Gamble (Downey), Diageo (Baileys), Bayer (Coppertone), Nestle, Colgate-

Palmolive, L'Oreal, Method, Dole, and Hersheys.

Marci Moshier has been working at Fulda Family Chiropractic as the receptionist/office manager for five years this June. During the day she can be found sitting at her desk in the front of the chiropractic clinic - the first face the patients see when they arrive for their appointment.

Marci says, “Every day is very busy as Dr. Graber may see anywhere from 25 to 35 patients a day. Marci is in charge of keeping things moving from the time the patient walks in the door, until they are

walking back out. In be-tween working with the patients she’s also in charge of keeping all of the patient accounts up to date, answering phones, scheduling pa-tients, filing, paying bills, calling insurance and things like that. The hard-est part of her job is hearing that one of their patients has passed away. “

While the patients don’t usually have to wait long to see Dr. Graber, there still are a few minutes where Marci chit chats with each patient,

forming some sort of connection. “The best part of my job”, Marci says, “is knowing that by being friendly and tak-ing time to talk to the patients can in someway brighten their day, making the overall experience that much better when they come to the clinic. “

When she’s not busy with work, Marci likes to spend time crafting or doing DIY projects, playing with her dog An-nie, (See more about Annie on the pet page) working outside on their acreage or reading a good book.
