Yom Kippur is a time of למעלה מן הטבע,or rising “above the norm.” As we face Yom Kippur, it is imperative to go beyond what we normally do so that we may ask Hashem for complete forgiveness. Seen is the incredible work and boundless energy of the many volunteers who made Rosh HaShanah meaningful in this difficult year. Unseen is the large added cost of making our shul safe, accessible and welcoming for our you. The Yomim Noraim season are the most important budgetary weeks of the year. One is not “buying a seat” but rather staking claim to responsibility as a member of the shul that we are able to proceed and to continue to grow! This is a co-op. You are an owner who must invest! This שבת שובהlet us reach even deeper to help our beloved Shul, and to rise above the norm.
