With over 18 years of experience in the movies business, Shivaji Dasgupta began his journey as a Chief Assistant Director to the acclaimed Indian director Govind Nihalani. Until 2005, Shivaji handled all the production aspects of Nihalani’s ventures for both the big and small screen.

Shivaji’s contribution to Hindi cinema is extensive in nature. Having worked as an Executive Producer with Reliance Big Pictures and later with UTV Motion Pictures, he then moved to Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd. as Vice President – Development and Production and executed the path-breaking LSD as well as the commercial blockbuster Once Upon A Time in Mumbai.

Heading the Creative & Production vertical at Abundantia, Shivaji runs a slate that is the envy of many a studio! With the superhit ‘Baby’ already under his belt, ‘Airlift’ on the floor and an interesting array of films in pre-production, Shivaji is all set to raise the creative bar even higher. Outside of films, Shivaji enjoys a regular game of football and is a fitness enthusiast to boot.
