The fine art of Italian shirting inspired Fiona and Anoop Anchal to create Shirt Studio in 2004.

Originally a shirting retailer, the brand expanded to include custom uniforms specialising in

Women’s ShirtsOur women’s shirts are well tailored and designed with the female shape in mind. There are

two fits for women in our shirt range. Any collar, cuff and fabric combination can be applied

to either fit as well as style detailing such as ruffle fronts, military stying and much more.

Our fitsThere are two body fits in our shirt range, a tailored fit and a relaxed fit.

Easy FitThis fit takes on a more relaxed approach, worn loose through the waist and hips with back darts to create a feminine shape. The style is shorter in body length than the fitted shirt and has small v-shaped openings at the hip to create a relaxed fit.

Tailored FitThis is a fitted shirt darted at the front and back giving shape through the waist and hips with a curved finish.

Tailored FitThis fit is a flattering European style, darted at back to create a tapered shirt. The shirt has a curved hem finish enabling the shirt to be worn either tucked in or out. This fit can be made with any collar, cuff and sleeve combinations presented in this catalogue.

Signature Custom Shirt ProgramAs a fully customised corporate uniform company Shirt Studio has the in-house resources to fully customise any aspect of your shirting uniform, including design and making your very own fabric.

If the styles, fabrics and colours in our catalogue are not suitable for your brand, we have access to over 1,000 shirting fabrics. In addition we can custom design and produce any shirting fabric with your colours and design.

Below is an example of a custom made shirting design. The companys corporate colours are white and cobalt blue. A stripe contrast was added to the men’s and ladies design with a different base shirt colour. Whilst the shirts are different in colour and design they have a common fabric to tie them together.

Custom Fabric Making Program Custom design is a unique service offered by Shirt Studio to design and make fabric tailored to your brand. The design can simply be a preferred stripe or check with specific PMS colours or can incorporate a company logo throughout the design. Our in-house design team will work with you to come up with a design that works with the fabric and suits your brand.

Fabrics can be made as a pure cotton either a poplin grade or high end two ply as well as a cotton/polyester blend. The custom fabric program can be used to make fabric for the entire shirt or simply as a trim in the shirt. The options are endless.

Case Study – Big Dog Pet Foods

Big Dog wanted to create a fun corporate uniform by incorporating their ‘dog and bone’ logo. The corporate colours for this division of the brand are blue, beige and orange. A cotton fabric in pure cotton was designed with the use of their logo as the main feature.

The fabric was used as a trim in their corporate business shirts and polos and excess fabric used to make boxer shorts, a bandana and a library bag for children.

The custom fabric trim allowed Big Dog to offer their team members a range of fabric options, without having to compromise brand consistency.

Shirt measurement guideThis guide will help you work out what size and fit you need to order.

For womenFits and optionsThere are two fits available:

1. Tailored: flattering style with darts at the front and back to give a fitted look.2. Relaxed: loose fit style with darts at the front, and at the breast and small side splits.

How to work out your size1. Refer to the diagrams on the right and with a tape measure take measurements as shown in each

diagram. When taking measurements the tape should sit flat against the body. Make sure the tape measure is snug enough not to droop, but not so tight that you feel restricted. Tip: Place two fingers in between your body and the tape measure.

2. Now that you have your measurements, review the measurement charts for each fit. The measurements provided are for the finished garment so make sure you allow about 6cm of room to fit. For example, if your chest measures 92cm you would need to order a shirt with about a 98cm chest measurement. If you are after a looser fitting shirt then make allowance for that when selecting your preferred size.

2. Now that you have your measurements, review the measurement charts for each fit. The measurements provided are for the finished garment so make sure you allow about 6cm of room to fit. For example, if your chest measures 92cm you would need to order a shirt with about a 98cm chest measurement. If you are after a looser fitting shirt then make allowance for that when selecting your preferred size.

1. Tailored: slim fit with darts at the back to give a tailored, fitted look.2. Relaxed: relaxed fit with no darts, giving the shirt a less fitted look.3. Easy: easy wearing fit with no darts and small side back pleats for ease of comfort.

You will want to allow approximately 6cm room around chest and waist. For the neck measurement, please note the actual size you measure your neck to be without any allowance. The shirt size correlates to your neck size. For example, if your neck measures 40cm, your shirt size is 40/S-M.
