Whether by lorry, rail, ship or plane: companies can now track their goods in real time, with immediate effect. Roambee offers hardware with a range of different sensors and many areas of use. The “Bees” are simply enclosed with or attached to the goods, and then supply you with information about the precise location, as well as extensive details about the condition of the goods including data about temperature, humidity, shock, pressure, and other variables. Vehicle tracking is carried out by a special Bee Fleet Adapter that only requires an OBDII interface.

You benefit from maximum data security, thanks to hosting in highly secure, ISO-certified T-Systems data centres. An open API interface and web-based dashboard give you an overview at all times of the position and condition of your goods or assets. Keep a watchful eye on everything – with 9 different sensors. Simply attach to or enclose with your goods, create an online entry for the shipment in the portal, then track it directly in real time. It can also be used as a “hotspot” for Bee Beacons. At a rate of one status message an hour, the integrated batteries last for up to 90 days, depending on the particular conditions. With less frequent status messages a battery life of several years is also possible.

Information about temperature and humidity are relayed directly to a “Bee” via Bluetooth LE. This enables you to monitor the exact conditions of individual shipments of goods in real time, e.g. in a warehouse or in transit in a particular carrier. An alarm is sounded if any pre-defined threshold parameters are exceeded or there is a loss of signal.

All data recorded by Roambee is transferred to the secure cloud of Deutsche Telekom, where they can be accessed through a user-friendly portal. Here you have a clear overview of all your “Bees”, can set up geo-windows for planned transport routes or define threshold parameters, and request reports on individual shipments – all at the click of a button. It is also possible to integrate the available API interface into your existing enterprise system, including SAP.
