Dear Parents, In the era of information boom, as an educationist and as a parent, I feel we

have a great challenge before us. How do we keep values intact which are

necessary to make our children good human beings? We all have to do our bit at

our level to inculcate good values among the children. Plethora of events are

incorporated in the curriculum in order to promote these values. I think we all

share the belief that education must include parents as they are children’s first

and most important teachers and yet they seldom receive the training and support

that allows them to be aware of the importance of their parenting actions. A few

tips here for the parents .

Be a role model for learning.

Pay attention to what your child loves.

Practice what your child learns at school.

Set aside time to read together.

Connect what your child learns to everyday life.

Connect what your child learns to the world.

Help your child take charge of his learning.

Don’t over schedule your child.

Create a positive home learning environment.

Be child focused.

A parent is a teacher for life, always to be treasured. A child always looks for

advice and guidance from his first teacher. The lessons that their first teacher

teaches them will make a great school year and one with wonderful memories.

PTA

The P.T.A meeting was held on 8th March 2014. The fees

structure for the new academic year 2014- 15 was explained

in detail to the parents. Unanimously, it was agreed that the rise in the fees is

justifiable. The H.M. and teachers expressed their gratitude for all the co- operation

which was received from the P.T.A in all the events of the school from time to time.

Every member of P.T.A was felicitated by the H.M. for going the extra mile to make

our school events a grand success.

EDUCATIONAL TRIPS

Outdoor learning offers a powerful and meaningful adventure, as important life skills

can be developed experimentally while having fun. It helps open young minds to

introspection and new experiences.

Complimenting academic curriculum with a “Life skills curriculum” helps students

become self disciplined and open up to new experiences, learn to care about and

work with others, understand the larger society and build a sense of what it takes to

lead others. The school scheduled the following educational trips which provided

powerful and memorable experiences.

FUN TRIP

Students of Std I and II had been to Tikuji-ni-wadi for fun

trip on 24th January 2014. They enjoyed all the fun rides.

The visit to Dinosaur park was very exciting. Students also

got to see different kinds of fish in the Aquarium. The

funtrip was not only enjoyable but also informative.

Students of Std III and IV had been to Suraj Water

Park for fun trip on 24th January 2014. Students

enjoyed the rides, the wave pool and the sumptuous

meal that was provided.

SURYAKUMBH On 4th January 2014 , 120 students from Std III and

IV participated in world‟s largest solar oven cooking

class. Suryakumbh, „Urja Swavalamban Ki Oar‟ at

Keshav Shrusti. It was organized by Arham - Yuva

Group. Students received various gifts along with solar cooker kit.

Mst. Yashmit Negi of III-D was the winner of the lucky draw

and won an Apple iPhone 5.

Martyr’s Day Celebration On the occasion of Martyr‟s Day we paid our homage to Gandhiji by observing 2

minutes silence. All the students were shown video clippings on life of Gandhiji.

“NURTURE NATURE FOR FUTURE”

The Annual School Exhibition was held on 1st February 2014. The theme of the

exhibition was “Plant & Animal Kingdom”. Students exhibited their projects and

activities related to the theme. A skit on Preserve Wild Life & Nature was also

presented by the students, to create awareness about the need for balance in nature.

A large part of a child’s active life is spent in the school. However

parents too play a major role in the process of development. The

emotional stability, the child gets from the parents has an immense

impact on his/ her personality. It is expected of all the parents to

spend at least 30 minutes with the child, talking to him / her about

his/her day at school. Know your children, not just the aspect of

their growth, homework they need to complete but also the friends

they make and the problems they face in school, school bus or at

play. Encourage him/her to do his /her work regularly from day

one. The parents, students and teachers are a team and complement

each other’s efforts. Together with you, we can mould the little ones

and bring out the best in them. I thank you for bestowing your faith
