CONCLUSIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS

The YSTR DNA profile of John Sheridan matches the YSTR DNA profile obtained from Specimen No. 1-3. However, due to the paternal inheritance ofYSTR DNA, it is expected that all his paternal male relatives cannot be excluded as possible contributors to the YSTR DNA profile obtained.

The YSTR DNA profile obtained from this specimen is expected to occur no more frequently than: 1 in 3 of the African-American population

CONCLUSIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS

An indistinguishable mixture of YSTR DNA profiles was identified in Specimen No. 1-6. No conclusions will be reached concerning John Sheridan as a possible contributor.

DNA YSTR amplification and typing were performed on Specimens No. 1-1, 1-2, 1-4, and 1-5 using the Applied Biosystems AmpFlSTR Yfiler amplification kit and no results were obtained.

All remaining evidence received by the DNA laboratory is being rettuned to the submitting agency. Any processed DNA can be located in a heat sealed bag. It is recommended that these samples be stored in a freezer.
