Alibaba filed 798 fintech patents, ranking second. A total of 3,909 enterprises from 33 countries filed 14,706 fintech patents by the end of 2019, the report said. In the top 100, 48 enterprises came from China, covering tradi- tional finance, fintech, Inter- net, e-commerce, technology, and telecommunications. WITH no new local COVID-19 cases reported for more than three months, the nighttime economy in Huaqiangbei com- mercial circle, Futian District, is showing strong signs of recov- ery, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported. Enthusiasm for going out and spending time with friends in the evening is definitely high, as some stores have filed applications for extension of business hours. “We plan to extend our business hours from Friday to Sunday until midnight,” the manager of an eatery in Rainbow Shopping Mall, sur- named Yuan, told the Daily. The application for extension of business hours was mainly to launch nighttime dining pack- ages to attract more consum- ers, according to Yuan. Other famous restaurants, such as Haidilao and Gelao- guan, have also offered to oper- ate around the clock and until 2 a.m., respectively, said Ouyang Jie, assistant general manager of Rainbow Shopping Mall. Several student representa- tives attended the ceremony on campus while others joined in online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to help fresh gradu- ates conquer employment challenges brought about by the COVID-19 public health crisis, SZIIT held several online recruitments to attract more job opportunities from companies offering employment. The employment rate of fresh graduates in 2020 reached 92 percent as of Monday. As of June 6, 273 of its 280 Chinese master’s graduates have chosen to enter the job market fresh from graduation with seven continuing pursu- ing doctoral degrees overseas, reporting an initial employment rate of 95.4 percent. On average each graduate is having two or more job offers in hand, far more than their peers in other business schools. To prepare its students for the fiercely competitive job market and the society as a whole, PHBS has been focused on cultivating well-rounded students and providing them with a high-quality education, school officials said.     SOME 92 percent of nearly 5,000 graduates from the 2020 class of Shenzhen Insti-tute of Information Technol-ogy (SZIIT) had received job offers as of Monday, SZIIT announced at the commence-ment ceremony held Monday on its campus in Longgang District.
