ACTIVITY: Counting Sheep Pillow Jump Place a pillow on the ground. Explain that some people pretend to count sheep to help them fall asleep. Tell the children a number. Then have the children run in a circle and jump over the pillow that many times. Then choose a new number.
ACTIVITY: Shepherd Simon Says Explain to the children that sheep eat grass and plants in a pasture. We use their wool to make clothes and other things. A shepherd takes care of the sheep and makes sure they are safe and healthy. The sheep learn to come when the shepherd calls. For fun, show some videos of sheep. Tell the children you are the shepherd and they are the sheep. Explain that you will ask them to do something but they only do it if you first say, “shepherd says.”
ACTIVITY: Hide and Sheep On cotton balls, paint two circles with fingernail polish to make eyes. Explain that the cotton
balls are sheep and them hide them around a room. Let the children find the hidden cotton ball sheep.
