Welcome Back Time flies when you are having so much fun! We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us at our first ever ‘Sharmila Dance Gala’. We had a blast preparing the show; it was a new and fun experience to prepare an entire show in less than a month and a half. We would like to say thank you to all of our sponsors and people behind the scenes that made this event possible. Rehearsals for the Sharmila Dance Extravaganza 2012 have begun! Every Friday, we rehearse with over 230 students from the ages of 7 onwards. Between January and April, the cast gets a total of 20 rehearsals to prepare for the performances on April 26th, 27th and 28th of April. In addition, we would like to remind you that calendars are still being sold for 35 AED, and are available where the payments are made for classes or at the Sharmila Dance office.

Student Information In order to be up to date with everything that is happening at Sharmila Dance you need to have completed a form with all your details filled in. This is imperative because if there is a class cancelation, it is the only way you will be informed. Contact Form:

- When you are moved up a level or start another class a new form needs to be filled out.

- Everyone needs to bring a passport size picture.

Class Information Level 1A & 1B Please note that parents are welcome to come and watch the last 5 minutes of class for Level 1A and 1B on 3rd February and 6th February.

Request Your Feedback Awards Each year there are various awards given to students for Best Dancer, Most Hard Working, Most Improved and Best Performance. These awards are given to all levels apart from high school graduates and adults. Furthermore, we would like to hear from the parents that have or had kids participating in the Sharmila’s Dance Extravaganza, what they think about the award system? When did you start dancing? I started dancing when I was 18, it was my first semester at college when a friend introduced me to Sharmila's classes How long have you been with Sharmila Dance? Since I was 18 :) so about 9 years now! What do you enjoy most about dancing? For me, music and movement consumed me at a very young age - which was when I started dancing around uncontrollably until I found classes at 18. I realized that with every beat I heard, I needed to move and express. I enjoy the training part of dance just as much as the freedom of movement because it is what allows me to discover technicality as well as my abilities, my limits and the power of my body
