The world is in need of healers – people who understand and share the wisdom about our relationship to nature. Because of those who step up into this role, more of us can access the health and connection that is our birthright. If leading others on this path is your dharma, we invite you to enroll in Hale Pule’s 600-hour Ayurvedic health counselor program.
Share the gifts of Ayurveda with Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga’s 600-hour Ayurvedic
health counselor program
Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga exists for a simple reason: To spread the light of these powerful sciences so more people can step into the lives they are meant to live. The greatest power of these teachings is in their practical, day-to-day application, one that is built from understanding the concepts outlined in the classical texts. Our Ayurvedic health counselor certification program is designed to train health counselors to work with clients in this same practical manner.
We understand that as we heal, the world heals. The more of us who are trained to lead in Ayurveda, the more others can embrace their true state of health, free of symptoms, pain and disease. When we exist in harmony with our true selves, we are in harmony with each other and the world around us. This is the true application of Ayurveda, one that we live each day at Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga.
When we exist in harmony with our true selves, we are in harmony with each other
and the world around us.
The philosophy
Ayurveda is a vast science that requires a lifetime of study. Hale Pule’s program offers a practical, clinical focus grown from a rich garden of wisdom. Our program structure includes:
A foundation in adopting an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Before you can guide others to Ayurveda, you must witness its power in your own life. The first part of this course is comprised of our unique online course, A State of Health: Getting Started with Ayurveda. In 10 video or audio lessons, you’ll apply the concepts of Ayurveda in your daily life and experience profound transformation in your health and well-being that will guide your career.
A written manual to a life of practicing and teaching Ayurveda. In 500 pages of material, you’ll gain a deep overview of Ayurveda, including Ayurvedic anatomy, physiology and psychology; the principles of Ayurvedic healing, including ahar (diet), vihar (lifestyle), dinacharya
(daily routine), herbs, Yoga, and marma; how to assess and address dosha imbalances; and how to apply these concepts by evaluating real life case studies. This guide will serve as the foundation for your understanding of Ayurveda and a reference for the rest of your career.
More than 30 hours of audio lectures. Each lecture corresponds to one lesson in the manual, expanding upon the written material and providing context from Myra Lewin’s personal and professional experiences. These audio lectures present the teachings through the form of shruti, or that which is heard, the traditional way the wisdom of Ayurveda was passed from teacher to student.
“From the very first lesson, Hale Pule’s program asked me to take a step up in my own life and practice so that I can realize my abilities as an Ayurvedic counselor. This program is truly transformational – I can’t imagine where I would be without it.” - SS, student
The written lessons uncover the philosophy
and practice of Ayurveda according to the classical texts and
the accompanying audios and videos help
you understand how these teachings can be
applied.

Supplemental reading by some of the world’s foremost thinkers in Ayurveda. These supplemental readings enhance your perspective of Ayurveda by offering the concepts from another perspective.
Clinical education capstone project to strengthen your ability to work with clients. Hale Pule’s library of 25 client consultation videos offers a rare glimpse into what it is actually like to guide clients through their health history and onto a path of Ayurveda. You’ll evaluate these cases as if they were your own clients and offer your assessment of what will bring each person to balance.
Advancement based off your true understanding of Ayurveda. The culmination of your studies is an oral final exam that allows you to demonstrate what you’ve learned to an Ayurvedic practitioner with extensive clinical experience. You’ll receive a written case study to assess and present a treatment plan to bring this person back to their true state of health.
Personal support throughout your education. Our program combines the benefits of a classroom setting with the ease of self-paced learning. We offer personalized interaction, prompt email support and six live webcasts each year where you can ask questions directly of Myra Lewin. Our supplemental programs include one-on-one student guidance, professional mentoring and advanced clinical mentoring.
Graduates of the program will be equipped to begin working with clients or may continue their education through our clinical mentoring for NAMA certification, Ayurvedic chef or treatment certification and other opportunities for professional development.
Hale Pule’s program allows you to experience the joy of Ayurveda firsthand so that you can guide others to
the same balance and connection.
“I do not know of any other Ayurveda course that builds upon a foundation of personal experience and consistency, but I do believe that both of these are required of great teachers and healers.”
- KP, student

The benefits of working with Hale Pule
Hale Pule’s Ayurvedic health counselor program is designed and led by Myra Lewin. A NAMA-certified Ayurvedic practitioner and master yogini, Myra has studied and worked alongside people of great wisdom in Ayurveda and Yoga, including Sunil Joshi, David Frawley, Robert Svoboda, Maya Tiwari, Sarasvati Buhrman, Vasant Lad, Sandra Kozak, Pattabhi Jois, Ramanand Patel and Richard Freeman, among others.
Myra was drawn to Ayurveda and Yoga after receiving an “incurable” diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. After embracing a life steeped in Vedic wisdom 30 years ago, she is symptom free. She founded Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga to spread the light of these ancient sciences so that more people can experience what it means to find true health in body, mind and spirit.
Myra developed Hale Pule’s 600-hour Ayurvedic health counselor program based on her nearly three decades of clinical practice. Myra built this program based on her extensive experience applying the ancient Ayurvedic teachings to heal modern-day health issues, including addiction, mental health, weight management, autoimmune disorders and more.
Myra is the author of two books, Freedom in Your Relationship with Food and Simple Ayurvedic Recipes. She presents at conferences worldwide and leads professional education for Ayurvedic practitioners and Yoga teachers on her home island of Kaua’i.
