Please read this manual carefullybefore using the software. If thesoftware will be used by children,the manual should be read andexplained to them by an adult.

Also, before using this software,please sele in the HOME Menuand carefully review content in"Health and Safety Information." Itcontains important information thatwill help you enjoy this software.

The extent of UGC exchangedepends on the software.

3 Internet Enhancements

● To protect your privacy, do notgive out personal information,such as last name, phone number,birth date, age, school, e-mail, orhome address whencommunicating with others.

● Friend codes are a part of asystem that allows you to playwith people you know. If you

4 Parental Controls

You can restrict use of the followingfeatures by adjusting the options inParental Controls.◆ Access to this game (as well as other

games) can also be restricted throughthe Software Rating item in ParentalControls.

◆ Refer to your Operations Manual forinformation on how to set up ParentalControls.

• Internet BrowserRestricts the ability to launch theInternet browser.

• Sharing Images / Audio / Video /Long Text DataRestricts the sending and receivingof photos and the use of GameChat.

• MiiverseRestricts users from viewing orposting content on Miiverse. Whenset to Restrict Posting, text andhandwritten messages cannot beposted. When set to RestrictViewing and Posting, text andhandwritten messages cannot beposted or viewed.

5 Getting Started

View your profile and Gallery(page 10).

Draw freely with any art toolsyou want (page 9).

Learn how to draw variouscharacters and how to use theart tools (page 9).

◆ You can change your namelater by selecting Clubhousefrom the main menu and thenProfile (page 10).

The first time you play, anintroductory lesson will beginright after you enter your nameand other details. Starting thegame anytime after that willdisplay the main menu.

6 Saving/Erasing Data

You can save your artworkanytime. Pres to openthe Options menu, and then tapSave.

Free Paint

Artwork can be saved each timeyou complete a lesson or duringone. To save during a lesson,pres to open theOptions menu, and then tapSave.

Lessons

Artwork is saved at differentpoints depending on the chosenmode.

◆ You can also save in themiddle of a lesson (page 9).

This is a record of your lessonprogress. It's automaticallysaved upon completing a lesson.

Progress and artwork are savedseparately at various points.

You can delete your progress byselecting Settings from the mainmenu and then selecting ClearProgress.

You can delete artwork one at atime. You can delete any artworkfrom the Gallery (page 10), butwhile in Lesson or Free Paintmode, you can delete onlyartworks created in that mode.

8 Using the Toolbox

You can change the layer youare drawing on and toggle theoverlay.
